Samsung 40" LCD

Anyone been in the market for a TV and come across these at all? Thge old man is looking at buying one. Got a deal for $1600 and thought I'd ask the question here before I told him to jump on it.

I'm got the Samsung LA32ABDX and they are sweet TVs, so I'm guessing this one's all good as well.

It's all about 1080p at the moment. If it's not 1080p, the price has been slashed. It would be a good buy for someone who doesn't care about high def and blue ray DVD's.

Personally, I wouldn't buy Samsung. I'd lean towards LG or Panasonic, but that's me.

I kind of know a guy who runs a premium home theatre shop in woomba. He's looking at selling the samsungs now. He said there new stuff is second only to sony. And mucho cheaper.

It's not a bad deal, $1600 is about the going rate for a good 32". I've got a Sumsung 32 and it is brilliant, I'll take it over an LG anyday.

I'm got a Samsung myself, and it's awesome. Apart from the sounds being crap, I can't fault it. And who cares about the sound when you run it through a stereo.
