OK learned people, I have an Aldila NV 65s in my Mizzy driver and love it, I have an ss-03 Sonartec with the stock stiff Sonartec shaft in it.

I'd like to throw an Aldila in it, what are my options for the 3 dog?

Your options are unlimited really. I had an NVS-75x in a 3 wood once, and it was an absolute bomber. One option, if you really like the NV65s is to play the same shaft in your 3 wood, but a lot of people like to play a slightly heavier shaft in the fairways, such as the NV75s, however this does play a little different to the 65, lower spin, launch etc. I would take a look at the NVS 65 or 75 as it will launch a little higher than the NV, and that's always welcome in a fairway wood. If you want to pay a little more, the VS proto is a really nice shaft, although quite different from the NV, higher launch with lower spin, and I find it to play a little firmer than the NV in the same flex. I have this in my hybrids and they are fantastic.

Nice shaft, but that's only going to play around 42" in the sonartec
