View Full Version : When did FT-3's get so cheap?

Did I miss the memo? They seem to have plummeted in price... are there lots of fakes around?

I have a line on a genuine one for about $140-$150, with a stiff NV 65.

I am kinda happy in the driver dept., though, but that seems kinda cheap to me.

Havent Callaway released five more superceded models by changing the colour of the ink on the logos and fonts?

Everything gets cheap when it gets superseeded, you don't really pay more than $200 for a non-current model driver these days

Callaway's not so bad at doing that. Not like Ping with their G2 G5 Rapture and G10 all basically the same club. Or TM and the 34 different r7 models with slightly different weight ports. Callaways only really had the FT-3 which came about a couple of years ago and this year with the FT-5 which is a significant redesign. The other models like x460 etc don't really matter as they didn't replace the FT-3 but were aimed at a different target market.

I get the whole model supercession thing.... I just thought the price drop was disproportionate on this one.... I will have to give it close consideration at that price.

that sounds VERY cheap for an FT3.

The previous model titleist's (905R) still get $200+ on ebay. I'd have thought at least that for a the FT3 as well...

I think the "fake" market is hotting up again, and everyone is running away from cally.

You would know "Mr Import".Thanks spacer reject... only partly to do with what I might rip you lot off with, I watch ebay and watch what people are selling, if there are too many Odyssey putters selling from Hong Kong and China I won't try and buy any...

Unless I see a market here of course (and want to make sfa)

That's what I was thinking BV. I know the pedigree of this one, and it is genuine. It's not new, mind you, but in 3balls good condition.
