I've just been watching some of the Aus v. Eng 20/20. The first comment that springs to mind is: "how gay are the Aussie uniforms?" :???:

How good are the mighty pies.

Now that is over - yes, how gay are the Aussie uniforms? They suit Nathan Bracken and Mitchell Johnson to perfection

Can we change the topic heading to just "20/20"? It's just not cricket.

I can't believe they talked up the sleeveless shirts then wore a long sleeved undershirt.

I thought the uniforms made the Aussie team look like the tossers they are....Great moments in design........

The missus just called them Star Trek uniforms. The collar certainly suits.

Does Lee's hattrick count? Or is it not realy 'cause it's 20/20?

Jarro
17th September 2007, 07:15 AM
It's still cricket regardless of what some people think.

Fishman Dan
17th September 2007, 07:39 AM
And what a hat-trick it was!! If it wasn't for Lee, those Bangladeshi's were going to get away from us!!

Jarro
17th September 2007, 09:19 AM
Probably the best chance he'll ever get to get one, won't do it against top opposition

Fishman Dan
17th September 2007, 09:21 AM
It's his second, the other was in the previous World Cup ;)

Jarro

Well isn't he a clever chap then

I never knew an achievement like this could put anyone in such a bad mood! Let's talk about 'Haydos' and side-show Symmo then.....

Against that other cricketing juggernaut - Kenya.

You know I never miss an opportunity to bag Brett Lee.

20/20 sortacricket appeals to those who can't tell the difference between movement and progress.

;) :p

The Banga's looked scared last night, as if they didn't mean to make it to the Super 8 stage!! And they kept that ridiculous Super-8 concept that was panned at the World Cup. Seeing Jacob Oram and Craig McMillan smash the Indian's around last night was almost worth watching. When Oram hits it - it stays hit!

On another note - anyone else get the feeling we're really going to struggle to bowl teams out this summer?

Yep, you hit the nail on the head with that one.

Good point AP, Have you guys heard the news that Ian Healy reckons that if marketed right Long Driving golf tournaments could be a great TV sport.

It's as much cricket, as long driving is golf.

If the Australian selectors got their head out of their a***h**** and started looking for some genuine quickies that with a bit of work can be brought up to test standard in the next couple of years they would be far better off than committing our current stocks to this twenty20 circus that is being played at present. Bloody dancing girls and, what about the bowl off to decide winners of games, I could not believe that, when it was shown in a news item the other night.

Stupid sport. When does the cricket start?

Jarro
20th September 2007, 08:27 PM
Easy win for the Aussies, getting the runs with the loss of no wickets.

We play South Africa now in the semi's 8)

Grunt

Not set in stone that one Jarro, I think it depends on how much the pakis beat Bangladesh by.

The big news from the game is that Papercut Watson has broken down again. He couldn't even get through a 4 over spell this time.

He might need to wait for the 5/5 version of the game. He might survive that many deliveries.

Ian Chappell was quite upset that he keeps getting a go. Comments were something about "why doesn't this guy have to come back in state cricket?"

South Africa hitting the showers early.

Ok, so it looks like we'll be playing India now

In your opinion of course. All the skills of the conventional one-day game come into play in 20/20

Stupid sport. When does the cricket start?

So you've said quite a few times already

i'm thinking of putting my own side together for the next world cup.... what a stupid version of the game!

Don't you start too  ... must run in your family does it :p

In your opinion of course. All the skills of the conventional one-day game come into play in 20/20I disagree. It's much more of a batters game.

In test cricket you get to enjoy a battle between the bowler and batter. No such thing here.

Ian Chappell was quite upset that he keeps getting a go. Comments were something about "why doesn't this guy have to come back in state cricket?"

His words were prophetic.

Why would you keep picking a bloke who keeps breaking down? You'd get sick of playing 1 man short?

3.2 overs. Bwahahhaahahahahahaaha. Wonder if he cried this time.

Since when has anybody ever listened to what Chapelli has to say
