Just heard on the news that Peter Beattie is resigning as Premier. Is a real trend nowadays for the incumbent to retire before getting voted out. All that is except little Johnnie

they could appoint a bum off street and still beat the QLD coalition.

What a rabble, how Beattie can f#ck up so much and continue to increase his majority speaks volumes for the quality of opposition in QLD.

Moe's right here. There was no risk of Beattie losing the next election. The coalition had a good one in Springborg, but he couldn't cut the mustard and jumped off the sinking ship.

Beattie is a prick and I'm glad he is gone but we are no better off with Anna Bligh.

Why's that Leigh?

I'm a media analyst working nights on the Courier, AAP and all the Regional Dailies. Things like this, along with elections, amalgamations, referendums etc cause huge upswells in media content, and people commenting on events, then people commentating on people commenting.

Clear?
