How is that possible that a golfer can make back to back birdies on 7 & 8 and then had 2x 13s in the remaining holes?

it's like crashing from read hot Pamela to a 98 years old granny.

Such is the life of a golfer with a handicap in the teens. Maybe not as bad as 13s, but it doesn't take much to switch from good to bad or vice versa.
