View Full Version : FS: Titleist D2 9.5 with V2 75 Stiff

Jono
5th August 2007, 03:51 PM
I've got a Titleist D2 9.5 degree with the V2 75 Stiff shaft that I want to offload. The head looks too big to me and besides, I'm hitting my Aurora fine. 8)

It's in very good condition. About 9 out of 10 (at least 8.5). I think it's about 44.5 inches, but I'll check. I'm happy to let it go for $350 or swap with a Scotty Cameron Newport Detour.

I'll post up some pics later in the week.

Price drop to $330. 8)

Creative trades will be considered.

eg. $260 plus dozen brand new Pro V1x's, $275 plus dozen brand new HX Tour/Tour 56.

Want a Burner Tp Jono?

That's tempting, but I've decided to stick with the Aurora as my driver of choice. No more experimenting. I'm just looking for a good conventional putter so that I can go back to a good conventional putting technique. 8-)

Anyone have a SC Newport 2 or 2.5 they want to trade? 8)

Jono, like Jim and I said yesterday. Try any putter and get some confidence with it. When we asked how many putters you said you owned you sort of admitted to having more than 8. I reckon if you got one and stuck to it you would putt way better. You were putting ok with that 2 ball when you had that.

Ps. not sure if you are going to listen to a bad putter like me ;). Am I still regarded as the worst putter in NSW OzGolf or can I hand that honour on now with both yourself and Matt3Jab back in the running? I only 3 putted twice yesterday.

Jono, surely you have a psychologist mate you could talk to?

I have always had the same putter, just every 2nd game of golf or so, you just gotta change the technique slightly because good form rarely continues for long.

Jono,

I recently gave up on the behemoth putters and bought the Taylormade version of this (with the AGSI 2 insert) -it has a black head which looks great. I am putting so much better with it. I think because of a few things but mainly because instead of being mega focussed on alignment I just take a stance and hit it. Much more natural.

Oh and good luck selling the driver ;)

Well Mark, not a lot of us lucky as you... who found the perfect putter.

Lucky for me thu, I think I found it.

I didnt find it mate - it was the one in my golf bag when i first played.

It's not a perfect putter - far from it. Mainly because my old man grounded bits off it so its probably out of balance, its also too light, and it wasnt a retail putter. They improved on this one before it went on the market.

I just dont think there is any point changing putters.

But at the end of the day you feel comfortable with it, right?

Thats the thing, I came across fair bit of putters.... some have good feel on impact, some good to look at, some give me good distance control....

But none of those I tried give me a feel of comfort... or should I say confident.

Until I found this Inza thingy.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I've got my putter. 8)

Now let's get back to the selling of this fine driver, shall we? ;)

I don't remember mentioning a number ... but 8 sounds close enough. 8)

You don't get rid of your title that easily ... You've worked hard for that title. You should be proud of it. :smt079

If you want to pass on the title, you'll have to challenge someone to a putting contest. 8)

Moe - you're welcome to take my 8.5deg out for a hit. I'm not playing for a while. Best way to find out if the head/shaft suits you is to play 18 holes with it.

Yep but I really don't want it or need it so if Jono happens to really want to sell I will buy it due to a level of boredom having not bought a new club in quite a while (excluding putters of course. :)

Moe Norman
7th August 2007, 08:55 AM
heh.

if a bottle of Veuve will get it over the line at $275 I'll give you two!

Vegas, I've tried them recently and the 8.5* with V2 X flex is now my driver of choice at the right price. I also tried a few R's and I'd take a 7.5* 905R with V2 X also.
