I used to work for the passports office checking that all the details from the application forms matched what ended up on the passport, then printing the address labels and putting them in envelopes. Sometimes I got to laminate them too.
Good times! 8)

You should probably get it done ASAP, in case it takes some time to process (or some guy puts the wrong label on the envelope).

Duck,

All they do is re-check your application and all your IDs and you are done.

Am I required to have an interview, or do I just send in my application with proof of identity?

Ask for the new "electronics passport", it is very cool and you can do your own customs when arriving back to the country.

Avoiding those long lines.

Make sure you have all the forms and pics signed. Seen a few rejected due to unsigned photos.

I'm sure clikchic could come up with a pretty good looking passport for you pretty quickly. How would you like you occupation listed. Say, doctor; maybe from india or somewhere?

Travelling one way are we??? ;)

We don't want professional shots. They can be viewed on the website. We want to see the course from the players perspective.

This (http://www.thepearlsouthpacific.com/golf.htm) is the course we are staying near. It looks nice if the gallery (http://www.thepearlsouthpacific.com/golfgallery.htm) is anything to go by.

First time I've seen gallery shots of a golf course that features some bloke trying to retrieve their ball from the lake (4th last pic).

Have a great trip Ducky - if they let you in to their country.

Make sure you're exact with the photo size.

Brad's was 0.5mm off and they wouldn't accept it.

Ducky,

If you go to a photo print shop then they can do them for you. Just say that its for a passport and they do the rest for you.

Pete and I didn't have a problem with ours.

Brad has quite a long neck - so at the passport place, they said they had to make the picture a bit smaller so that some of his shoulders is showing (as required on the passport form). Otherwise, a picture where the head is the right size, and within the overall size requirements doesn't show the shoulders - which she wouldn't accept either!

I think we will just try a different post office

Hi Ducky,

The form has the exact sizes for the head part of the picture and the overall size. I don't have it with me - but the forms should be on the web somewhere.

Our Local Post office that does the Passport also does the Pics. So if hte pic is no good they keep taking it until it is ok.

Cods-wallop. Your picture just has to be 45mm x 35mm, front-on. You have to show your head, and the top of your shoulders etc etc. If Brad can't fit in these dimensions, he probably shouldn't be travelling ;)

FD - perhaps you should have read your link more closely. Look at the bottom of page 4 - on closer inspection you will see that it states the minimum size of the head part of the photo must be 32mm and maximum 36mm - as well as showing the tops of shoulders.

So cods-wallop to you! :smt018

I'm not travelling and I have a valid passport, so I didn't read it top to bottom. ;)
