a set just sold on ebay for $350

Thanks, but I was part of the ebay auction. I played my trump card to early and bid with 3 minutes to go to take the lead.

With about 15 seconds to go on the auction someone jumped me by $5 and I didn't have time to submit my counter bid.

Let's just say I wasn't too happy with the result.

You should try www.bidnip.com, as used and recommended by AndyP 8)

Set your limits and walk away ! costs nothing for the 1st 5.

And if you don't win the auction, it doesn't use one of the snipes.8-)

3oneday, you should supply a link that has you as a referrer, so you can get more freebies.

why not just bid what you're prepared to pay with 10 minutes to go.

never understood people complaining about being outbid at the last second of a 7 day auction.

I am not complaining at all, just after a bargain as we all are...

It was my bidding error that lead to me not owning a loved set of Ping i3's. I was just hoping I could mend my errant ways with some assistance from the OzGolf community.

By the way, thanks for the BidNip advice.

I'm sorry; I have this exact combo and you'll have to pry them out of my cold dead hands ;)

That's not an invitation either :)

Yes we have, however, the clubs were withdrawn.

If money talks, could you please ask your friend how much he would be willing to sell them for now.

Cheers

Ex; just looked up my old emails , he thought your offer of $450 was too low. would you like to make another?

(sorry i didnt bring this up earlier)

survey says $380 is market value.

Bert confirmed it :)

I think your mate should now factor some depreciation into it and accept $400. They certainly have not gone up in value sitting in the cupboard for a year and a half.

As the guys have said, market value is lower than what your friend is asking.

Instead of going back and forward, could you please ask your friend what he would be willing to take to part with them and if it is reasonable, then consider them sold.

I see lots of 8 club 2nd hand sets going off on ebay for around $US300 plus shipping.

However There is 11 irons there, not 9, Upmarket Nippon shafts, custom made by the tour ping mob in Japan. compared to whats on the market these are worth more, at least $100 more because of the extra clubs :-)

I have asked him for a new price.

cheers.
