Look out I am coming down again for the annual incursion into Sydney, Lock up your atheists.

I should be free for golf on the following dates - would love to get at least 2 rounds in.

Sat 30 June PM - Sawtell - 34 pts
Sun 1 Jul PM - no golf :-(
Mon - Fri > 7pm at Homebush driving range :-)
Sat - Jul 7 Macarthur Grange
Sun Jul 8 - non golf day
Mon Jul 9 - might be an opening for a Sydney round here in the AM
Tue Jul 10 - considering South West Rocks.

My plan is Jul 7th to be the definite one. Dont care where, but preferably your golf course, and consider that i am probably driving to Forster in the PM.

Honestly I dont care for fancy new golf courses, I would much rather play where you are a member.

All dates but the 2nd to 7th are somewhat tentative, thats what you get when you allow a pair of sisters to arrange things (we husbands havent a clue whats going on) In any case I'll be driving so we all know that means - i wont have a say in anything

Any golf enroute will of course be subject to locating appropriate entertainment for 3 bored non golfing passengers (one extremely difficult to entertain).

Oh yes, due to the tight itineray, those who requested private sessions we will arrange same on a nighttime between 1st and 6th.

edit: am staying in Chatswood

May be able to at the very least catch up at Homebush for a hit. Also could organise something at Mac Grange if the others are keen too.

July 7th, apart from Mac Grange, I don't think you can play with a member on a monthly medal day.

amanda
30th May 2007, 05:55 PM
Brad and I would likely be in.

Well Amanda that gets us one group if MTB wants to play there. Matt might be a maybe, not many others will be keen as it is a medal day yet again and it is at Mac grange.
Where are you staying whilst down here MTB?

Saturday 7th July is the same day that Spiersy is dropping in for a farewell Sydney game on his way back to Canada.

His thread indicates he is looking at an afternoon game. Maybe the two events can be put together.

If they cannot, Mac Grange might be the easiest Saturday option.

30th May 2007, 08:33 PM
Just realised I am working that day too, :( must have got my roster muddled up earlier.

Grunt, i dont know where i am staying. Its arranged, and the only person that knows is out of the country for another 3 weeks. (sounds like shambles i know).

Its a house somewhere -and we arrive the previous sunday night and get kicked out Saturday 7th. apart from that we have no firm arrangements of anything.

Ok!

now what does that actually mean? long queues, high prices, bad bunkers, moron members ?

AndyP
7th June 2007, 09:09 AM
Does it mean you need to wear a helmet?

Fishman Dan
7th June 2007, 10:42 AM
Does it mean you need to wear a helmet?

Helmet, 8 iron and putter.

Lane Cove is pretty central - it's about an hour in any direction to a decent golf course!

It's also close to me. For a bloke who has been trying to avoid a rendevous, you're doing pretty poorly at it. As for a round on the Saturday, I'm pretty sure than can be arranged at my Par 65, sans preferred lies. We've grown up to be a mature course now.

Ages ago,I was playing tennis at Lane cove, the courts are 15m above and 25m to the right of the 7th green. Some hacker, and coming from me on a 22 hcp is saying something, managed to put his ball up onto the courts, Something even I never managed to hit a sh!t enough shot to achieve. He also managed to get one of the ladies in the back of the head, she went down like a sack of spuds. When he came up, all he asked was could he have his ball back, nothing about was she ok? did she need a hand? could I take you to emergency?
She had a split scalp that was bleeding pretty well and was taken off to hospital for check up. She was OK fortunately.

markTHEblake
29th June 2007, 10:48 AM
Just wanna toss this idea around. This brass monkey weather has got me thinking about the 7.30am start.

I am no longer leaving sydney that afternoon, now leaving on Monday. Shall we consider relocating this event to the PM and perhaps even join Speirsys' day?

Doesnt really matter to me, whatever Matt and Mandy decide is ok. (we know Brad gets no vote)

amanda
29th June 2007, 11:02 AM
hey blakey - we'd rather not have to drive up the coast, plus matt went to all the trouble of making the booking.

markTHEblake
29th June 2007, 11:20 AM
up the coast? no idea what that means but OK. we are at Macarthur Grange at 7.30 then, brng the ball warmers

markTHEblake
29th June 2007, 04:25 PM

Grunt

Lol, Trees are not clear at all, nor are the hills that you will see as you get there.

markTHEblake
29th June 2007, 09:19 PM
I have updated my itinerary with some definite golf calculations (perhaps a little optimistic considering my travel partners). Anyone interested in Monday 9th?

Mandy or Matt, how about you create a new thread for our Macarthur Grange round, as i may not have any web access to update results etc.

Grunt
29th June 2007, 09:49 PM
Sorry MTB working the 9th too. Last nightshift.

Matt 3 Jab
1st July 2007, 08:46 AM

Where on monday would you like to play blakey?

amanda

I have had the flu ever since i reached Coffs Harbour, so right now the details are giving me a headache.

Sounds like a plan to me, and Blake2 is over the moon.

What is the planned tee time for Monday - we are heading back north sometime that day, probbaly to Forster.

Matt 3 Jab
4th July 2007, 04:54 PM

Grunt
9th July 2007, 12:18 PM
Did the game go ahead or did the good old Sydney weather put an end to it? I drove past Kogarah on my way home from work this morning and I can safely tell you that it was very wet indeed. Heavy rains fell around 2am this morning at the airport, and I mean real heavy.

amanda
9th July 2007, 12:31 PM
Nah - we gave golf a miss - way too wet!

Trung
9th July 2007, 02:27 PM

markTHEblake

Pikers - it was only a scotch mist, and it was fine by 10.30

Did Blakey meet anyone at Sydney apart from those at the Hillsong?
