I watched the foursomes, came on about 3.45am
Terrific golf, esp from Monty/Harrington, they went out in 31, that's an outrageous foursomes score. They only bettered that by one in the morning fourball.
Looking forward to round 2

AGREED!!!

bunch of superstars in a team doesn't make them a superstar team...

big mistake playing Lefty and Tiger together...instead of playing as a team, they played like opponents (I figured!)

now, if you were in Langer's shoes, what would you do???

stack up the entire top 6 with your best players, knowing that this would be EXACTLY what Hal Sutton should be doing!!!

or take the chance that Sutton stacks up the top of the table, and you put the rookies against them, and put the better players at the bottom???

Tiger Vs Monty or Harrington would be cool at the top of the table!!!

Tiger Woods (USA) vs. Paul Casey (Eur)
Phil Mickelson (USA) vs. Sergio Garcia (Eur)
Davis Love III (USA) vs. Darren Clarke (Eur)
Jim Furyk (USA) vs. David Howell (Eur)
Kenny Perry (USA) vs. Lee Westwood (Eur)
David Toms (USA) vs. Colin Montgomerie (Eur)
Chad Campbell (USA) vs. Luke Donald (Eur)
Chris DiMarco (USA) vs. Miguel Angel Jimenez (Eur)
Fred Funk (USA) vs. Thomas Levet (Eur)
Chris Riley (USA) vs. Ian Poulter (Eur)
Jay Haas (USA) vs. Padraig Harrington (Eur)

I'll go with Casey, Westwood and Donald to bring in the points...
with a half to either Monty or Garcia...

Europe 11 USA 5

so the septics have to win 9 out of a possible 12 points in the singles to win the cup.

.. sorry folks, but it ain't gonna happen [-X

anyone else think a 496yard par4 is a crappy idea?!?!?

next time around, when they play the USOpen there, it'll probably be a 510yard par4...
