Australian golfers won 2 events worldwide over the weekend. Nickie Garrett won the Ladies Tenerife Open on the Ladies European Tour whilst Adam Bland won his second Canadian PGA Tour event in 3 weeks at the Culiacun Open. Garrett was rookie of the year on the LET last year and certainly has a bright future in womens golf, whist Bland is now the leading money winner on the Canadian Tour.

Didn't Nick Flanagan also win a Nationwide event as well?

That was last weekend. But yes, he did win in a 4 way playoff.

Nickie Garrett has just won her 2nd consecutive event on The Ladies European Tour with a one shot victory in the Open de Espana. Nickie has certainly become a shining light in Australian womens golf over the last 12 months.

Lonard had some chances at the TPC this weekend also, only to have some putting nightmares. His 3 putt on the 2nd hole in the final round being one that stands out

Apparently he was having shank problems with his chipping and pitching prior to the Players
His putting has always been a bit suss which is a pity, because he is a great ball striker.

How about O'Hairs finish     Now that was expensive :(

6th spot for Lonard and Scott (from the clouds again), not a bad week for most of the Aussies, quite a few in the top 16 !

It was a shame really, the guy played so well for 15 holes, then had a simple birdie putt on 16 and just couldn't get it done. After the round he commented that standing on the 17th tee he was still thinking about that missed opportunity :(
