Hi guys,
Been doing a little surfing recently and wanted to alert you to two great website finds.
The first is the Titleist Performance Institute.
http://www.titleistperformanceinstitute.com/
I cannot believe the amount of information on this site and all for nix. I'm wondering if I'm the last guy to find out about this site?
The second is the new area on the Ping site that has details on their touring pros.
http://www.pinggolf.com/pingpros/
This gives a lot of details on equipment and also provides videos of swings. It is amazing watching Bubba Watson swing the club. Matt Hendrix has one of the best swings I've ever seen.
I took a look at the equipment that the featured 17 Ping pros use as well and there are some interesting findings.
Driver Info
Average driver loft 8.5*. Average driver length 45.2" (longest driver was 47" for Chris Stroud).
Of the 16 who used a Ping driver, 14 used Raptures the other 2 used G5s.
Most popular driver shaft company was Grafalloy (3 Tour, 3 Prolaunch Red and 1 Bi-Matrix) and second was Ping with a prototype shaft played by 3 of their pros.
3-Wood Info
Average 3-wood loft 14.4*. Average 3-wood length 43".
Of the 11 who used a Ping fairway wood, 5 used the TiSI Tec (old technology!) and only 1 used a Rapture.
Cheers,
T
