I wouldn't mind having a hit with it.

What did you think of the other auction (54*) :?: I might have to ask the guy for large photos, coz I can't tell what sort of condition it is in from the ebay pics. :?

Andy, hold off a bit cause the pro at McLeod uses Raven stuff there and the raven stockist are going to get fist dig at Kennith Smith clubs who are the oldest clubmakers around.

Apparently they have a hybrid coming out shortly which is surposed to be kickass.

so what brand/model are you thinking about getting AndyP :?:

One of my mates from Nudgee G.C is thinking of getting a rescue club as well. And as much as i'd love to steer him to the Taylormade, i'm thinking about pushing him towards the other brands.... if they play as good that is :?

Maxfli EzyDrive 4. Can't say I have heard any bad reports yet, and is essentially the same thing as the TM Mid-Rescues.

McLeod GC Pro Shop will be giving me a call back this week with a price, as they don't have any in. Gotta spend that voucher on something.

AP, you're gaaawwwwwnn. You don't need a rescue mid-hybrid thingy.. you just need to be more solid with your 3-5 irons ;)

Back to wedgies; my SW that came with my clubs is a 56* (Cobra). What's the normal lie of a SW? I never really regarded it a 'conventional' SW. So therefore would never go to a 58*, but might consider a 60* (Jarro? ;))

Think I would prefer a rescue.

56° is pretty normal for a SW. I have a 50°, so I am trying to work in the others with that.

Jarro

AndyP, do you have a PW :?:

seems to me that a 50* wedge would be too close in loft to your PW(46-48*)

that's why i went for the 52/56/60 combo .... nice gaps in between that are similar to the gap between my PW (46*) and my 52* wedge 8)

I do, but so far it's not causing problems. If I have to do away with the PW or bend it, then I will.
Ideally I would have gone for the 52/56/60 combo though.

Thats the combo, I'm using at the momment and it works well for me :D

AndyP

The problem is that I already have the 50°, and will soon have the 58°. So the 52/56/60 combo, isn't really an option.

Hmmmmm, is three knife shots out of the first four a bad sign.
I had moderate success with it out of the bunker. But stuggled with it around the greens. It might take some getting used to, as I haven't had a club with this sort of loft before.

That said, PM me your bank a/c details and I will get the money to you. :D

I still haven't decided what club is going to drop out for my round tomorrow. :?

I still haven't decided what club is going to drop out for my round tomorrow. :?

Pulled the clubs out of the car pre-round on Saturday and still hadn't decided what to take out of the bag.
Firstly, pulled the SW out. Leaves too big a gap between the 50° and 58°, which is the reason I bought the 50° in the first place.
Then pulled out the 5W. Gap too big between 3W and 3I.
Considered taking out the 3I, but eventually decided to take out the 4I, which appears to have been the right decision so far.

Only used the club once, but put it close enough for a one putt. 8)
Wasn't brave enough to use it too much during a matchplay round.

Excellent. So now you'll call your heavies off, and I'll only have one leg in plaster. Thanks mate. :smt021 :D

Still having mixed success with this club. But then again, that's my whole game at the moment. :smt102
