I'll buy the bullet if someone will shoot the prick, he's one of the most annoying commentators channel 9 has

Not sure if you guys north of the border saw it. At 1/2 time in the Melb v Tigers game Gus & the other knob Mathew Johns were demonstrating techniques in the play the ball that were now illegal. At the end of it the Storm guy that they were demonstrating with absolutely pole axed Gus and drove him into the ground. Was Gold, Gould was on the ground fixing his suit.

And that's even if you consider walrus' land mammals!

i don't watch alot of Rugby League, but why does everyone think he is bias?

Everytime I'm watching he seems to be reasonably balanced in his commentary of poor refereeing decisions and general calling of the game.

Sure you always know who he's going for, but thats the same with any commentator.

Same can be said for Eddie at Lions games. Not being a big AFL fan, I never considered his commentary biased, but the howl about him commentated Lions v Bollywood. Hatred of Gus is a QLD thing I think.

2 great games to start the season though.

I was actually talkin about that dilpickle Ben Ikin "Believe you me" is his favourite phrase, you hear it every second or third time he has a bit to say.

I found it funny when he said "Jason Smith at 35 makes us old boys in the commentary box considering lacing up the boots again"

Isn't Ben Ikin only 30?

CobraSS
18th March 2007, 01:22 PM
Not sure, but he would a few years younger than Jason Smith that for sure.

CobraSS

just checked, he was born 21/02/1977 so 30 is right

He had a few bad injuries Moe, the worst being multiple medial ligament ops.
