they have EXPLICIT advertising on them (eg porn sites, one was "hardcore sex")

Mate, they're not coming from this site - but you'd want to stop going to the naughty sites ;)

There are plenty of Spy-Ware/Pop-Up removers, there's another thread on this site about some recommendations about the good ones. Check them out.

I don't have any problems with pop-ups at home with Windows XP. I have also set OZgolf to allow pop-ups, and don't have any problems, 990B.

I think the avatars on this site are more of a problem than pop-ups.

Nice avatar jarro... they contribute more useful meaning to real golfers.

A-Lo, Nice avatar, but I must say even though she is covering up, she should at least have one cotton thread of clothing on :smt104 :smt112 :smt120

Like Fishy's has....I think she is wearing a hair tie

I don't get any popups? Noone else gets any popups that I know of.....I think you have a spy in your computer that gets woken up by your browser and sends you those popups.....delete your cookies and internet temp files and cache and see if that helps :)

Your gone mate, and you probably got one of those things that are near impossible to move.

after you get rid of it make sure you get Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, it will help prevent these things from re-occurring due to new securitty features including a popup blocker.
