Golf_Novices Big Adventure!!!

Well, Golf_Novice (Brooke) is off on her big adventure today!! For all that don't know, she is flying to London (At 1:45pm!!) for a working holiday. Atm Brooke plans on coming back to Oz for Christmas and then returning for the rest of the 2 years, if she likes it!!!

I don't think we've had a UK ozgolfer have we???!! I'm sure she'll find a net connection over there so she can still post occasionally.

Good Luck! You'll have an absolute blast! I lived over there for 3 years, and if it wasn't for the weather would have stayed longer. If you want some tips (ie, pubs) let me know!

Links? Isn't there one on every corner? It certainly seemed like that when I was driving around up there. Grunt and I both noticed the large number of porn shops in the greater Vegas area.

But have fun Brooke. The weather will drive you home soon but it will be a blst until then.

Hi guys - I'm in London :) It's not as cold as I thought it would be. The flight was loooong and boring!! But I arrived at about 5am this morning and it was dark until about 7.30/8am. We're out and about now.

Flew with Qantas Bris - Singapore, and then BA from Singapore - London. Can honestly say the first leg of the flight was the best.

It's not too cold here either!! 11 degrees today :) And sunny!!

So what's with running into people you went to school with on the other side of the country??? Went to the Walkabout in Shepherd's Bush last night. All Aussie's and Kiwi's!! And they only play that kinda music too.. very strange. Also went to Belushi's on Friday night.. another Aussie pub. Oh dear. You could easily be mistaken in thinking you were back at home.

Today is the first COLD day since I arrived... and today I'm heading out and about sight seeing - probably not the best weather for it :(

Hi guys - just a quick update from the UK. Heading into week 4 of being here :) I have a job working at a Solicitors doing general admin and assistance for one the main solicitors. I have been offered to take the position of Legal Secretary in July :) (have I done this before - hell no!)

What else... moved into our own place over here in Shepherd's Bush, living with 2 of my friends from back in OZ. 3 girls - 1 house - sometimes scary!!

Spent too much of the weekend hungover in bed coz' lots of partying takes place. There's just so much to do. Only pretty much go out with other Aussies and Kiwis, but tonight we're heading into town of London to hit the clubs, so might actually meet some nice poms tonight.

Off to a West Ham football game in a few weeks vs Arsenal. My friend's work has corporate boxes, so we're heading to that game. My step-dad is soo jealous - Massive West Ham supporter (even thought they're about to be kicked out of the premier league)

I think that's about it. Haven't stumbled across any golf courses yet, but we're off to Scotland for Easter long weekend.... So who knows ;)

Good to log on after awhile and check out what everyone's been up too... no more babies popping out yet? Can't be too long to go...
