Who here has been stuck in a lift when it decided to stop working?
We've got a notorious set of lifts here, and I've only just escaped after being trapped in one for the first time in 3.5 years of working here.
Not such a drama, although I'm up to the eyeballs in work due tomorrow and the 30 minutes was kinda crucial. There were 4 of us in all, 1 has a drive to the airport for a 4pm flight to Melbourne. 3:20pm now - buckleys.
It got quite stuffy in there with the 4 of us, but the burst of fresh air was short-lived when we copped a whiff of the technician. To his defence it's a damn humid day here, not the place for a sweaty man in overalls.

I was stuck in the bathroom of a hotel room in The Star City. Was staying there for a week, told them to fix it on the first day. Nothing was done. Good luck to the people that stay in that room after me.

I was stuck in a lift for about half an hour. I just sat down and pulled out a book.
It was on work time, not mine, so I wasn't too worried.

3.5 hours in a lift on one of the high rise hotel at Hong Kong.
There were at least 10 of us. Not a happy time.

On the subject of lifts
The Elevator
Four guys and a woman are stuck in an elevator. While they are stuck, they
strike up a conversation.
The first guy says, I'm a YUPPIE, you know ... "Young, Urban, Professional,
Peaceful, Intelligent, Ecologist. "
The second guy says, I'm a DINKY, you now ... "Double Income, No Kids, Yet "
The third guy says, I'm a RUB, you know .. " Rich, Urban, Biker "
The fourth guy says, I am a DIDO, you know ... " Double Income, Dog Owner."
They turn to the woman and ask her, "What are you?"
She replies: I'm a WIFE, you know " Wash, Iron, F***, Etc."

Errrm, no. Haven't read one for ages.
I think it was a Mills & Boon novel.

Back in my Hotel days I got stuck in one for 9 hours :-D
Didn't bother me at all as it was right at the beginning of my
shift and it was at Sun rates  We had huge lifts with
nice music playing in them all, so I had a real good sleep :smt002

Dion, the security guys were checking on me every hour or so to make
sure I was not flipping out :)
The good thing was I was in there by myself so didn't have to make
conversation with anybody.
The carpet was nice and thick so had no worries dropping off to sleep :smt002
