Seeing New Member JC mention that he had 2 holes in one. It had me wondering how many Members also had holes in one.

Grunt 0 holes in one

One but it was about 20 years ago, the hole that I had it on has been completely rebuilt and my wife chucked out the ball I used.

I did a search Jarro but the search engine would not give me the results with all 3 words.

I make a 5 nearly every week on holes ranging up to 110m.

0 and 0 (Comp and otherwise).

Hit the pin once (comp) and had one stop 5" from the hole once (social). Never even looked like it otherwise. Considered how frequently I land on the green this is no suprise! hehe.

I think Jarro was referring to the incident between Onewood and few members of ISG.

Where is Onewood, BTW? Has he had any more hole in one's lately? 8)

Big fat 0 for me in the HIO department as well ... :(

Years back I shanked one in the drink on the 9th at CCC in Rockhampton. Reloaded, and knocked it in for a solid par! It made the shank even sweeter! :-x

I think the 110M one are the offcial one.... anything less than 100M (I believe) is not.

for 21 years nothing.
last 7 months 2. 14th at Kennedy Bay and 13 at The Sanctuary. The first one wasn't really satisfying because I hit a thin 6 iron and made the comment "that's over the back" as soon as I hit it. the second I hit pure.
The wife knows that those balls are not to be taken off the TV cabinet. they are officially furniture in my lounge room now.

JC - don't be afraid to claim it. I've witnessed 1 ever and it never got above knee height for the entire 135m journey!

Did jaster mention he saw an HIO that actually hook/slice to the tree on the side, bounch back and get into the hole?

I saw something simular couple of months ago. Pretty amazing.

I've never even seen a hole in one. Would be cool to celebrate that with someone (if I liked them).

Had 1 in comp at the 17th at Wallacia in1991 , and had 1 with a social club early this year.

I've witnessed 2.

1. My mate Mick had one on a short par 3 at Half Moon Bay GC. He hit it well, but the base of the flag was behind a ridge in the green. We got up there and couldn't see it so we started looking in the scrub behind the green. Couldn't find it so we gave up and went back to putt the other's out, and found his in the hole!

2. My mate Davo (Mick's brother) on his birthday about 3 years ago. Get this, he made it on the very same hole as his brother!

Neither were in comp, so they got jack from the club.

How do they share Jack?

Oh, I still claim it!!! However, it just didn't feel that good because I didn't hit that clean of a shot.

Onewood,

It was weird for me.

Years ago I stated to a friend that if I only had one hole in one in my entire life, I wanted it to be on the 6th at New South Wales GC. Of course, I never expected it would ever happen.

Well, last October I struck one of my best ever 5 irons into the hole on the 6th at New South Wales GC, in a Wednesday comp. Being that it was my nominated hole from years ago & now it had just happen, it was more than a little surreal. I can remember walking to the 7th tee feel quite unworthy. It was a strange feeling.

Of course, I am an extremely complex little puppy. Jumping up and down, then getting drunk is probably the preferred response.
