The reason for the zillmere detour is that it is my mum's b'day on the 14th. I was thinking of taking jaz to my sisters for the day so mum could come and spend some time with her. But I'm not liking the idea of getting her (let alone me) in the car at like 3.30am to do all this.

Someone throw some times and places to meet for a car pool to wynnum. I'll most likely be in the wagon so I could fit an extra 3 (4 if the back 3 don't mind getting friendly) and clubs in my car. Otherwise I could join some others.

You can ride with me if you want Goughy. It's pretty easy to get to Brookwater from the Ippy and then Logan Motorways.

If you're at my place by 6:00, we'll be at Wynnum at 6:45-7:00. It's about an hour from your place to mine, so you'd have to leave by 5:00am.

There's no (usable) driving range at Wynnum, only a putting green and nets, so no point getting there too early.

Andy, you're near the western freeway/ipswich road round-a-bout aren't you. Would you be interested in teaming up with me and vegas. I don't mind us using my car if we want for space or if someone else wants to tag along (although smelling the interior of the new focus is tempting). I wouldn't mind if someone else wanted to drive of course. That whole 'falling asleep at the wheel' thing of mine tends to scare passengers.

There's no pressure DC. I've got nothing to lose, nothing to prove and no expectations on myself. I'm just a golf freak who plays no golf. I'll either blast away or make 3 figures. And I"ll forget the matchplay score several times during the round and in general will just have fun.

I'll also be sporting a belly putter which I've never used before (never used belly putters before that is) but that probably have no effect on my putting scores.

AP I figure the next hackers day could be the go for match play, since your and notlob play sometimes. Gailes I was going to PM you when I got back.

Sorry I haven't replied earlier. I need to get out (and on the forum) more!!
I'm happy to defer our matchplay to Gailes. Wynnum will be the first game I've played since mid November (very sad!!) and hope to use it as the start of more golf in 2007. As you may be aware, I'm local to Gailes so I will be glad to arrange our matchplay when we meet up at Wynnum...I didn't realise the Hackers were due there soon but we can organise it for anytime there.
Thanks again to all the guys orgaining the Wynnum Cup entries.
