With drivers getting bigger and bigger anybody still hit theirs off the deck, I generally carry my Callaway Hawkeye 11* atm as we have preferred lies through the green due to the drought and its pretty easy to hit, but there is no way I can hit the deep bore form any lie.

How about others :?:

Only if I have to hit a low one out from under the trees

I stopped using driver off the deck (fairway) at about the J-vs(314cc's) and to a lesser extent the SMT Balty(350cc's).

the TM300 series drivers are great off the deck (I've tried the 320 and 360)...

not as courageous with the 983K...

I haven't tried since my 975D. It worked ok, but doubt it would have actually gone any further than a 3 wood. I doubt I'll ever use (in a comp at least) the larger driver, I just wouldn't back myself to get it off the ground...

The only driver I have success off the deck is Cally Steelhead Plus 10*... but it's a very small head thu

No, don't hit driver off the deck, especially not in comps. Maybe a little bunt shot under trees if it was really needed.

I'll say

He went driver, driver on the Par 5 16th at Logan in the scramble ... and finished up just in front of the green.

This was into a quite substantial headwind i might add :smt107

Me, i can't hit driver of a tee let alone off the deck :smt100

I guess that when/if the through the green rule is lifted the Hawkey will be out of the bag again though it does go well off th deck

No way will I attempt a driver off the deck anymore, only because I see no benefit of doing it....Sonartec is (or was ;)) good for around 230-240m usually and if I'm further out I'll back myself with 3iron to 50ish then lobbie from there more often than going for the green 8)

I have a callaway hawkeye 8 degree, and its very easy to hit off the deck (comparatively). In fact I dont even have to deliberately fade it to get it up.
