Thanks for your replies, bootmaking seems to be a dying trade, the Mister Minits only do the basic stuff. I had one lined up on a friend’s recommendation but when I visited his shop I found a note announcing his retirement! :(

Maybe a Canvas place could help? As an upholsterer, I'd be saying I can't do it - partially because I wouldn't want to, but also because I couldn't! May need a special machine to get into the place.

I was taking the piss! I only called it "not niche", because they're called "Walkalong Bag Repairs", so clearly a market. That's all.
