Jarro might have some insight on this.

There have been plenty of adds around for a Pink Floyd tribute band touring around. Some great high faluting light show etc etc. Spose to be pretty good. And coming to the Empire Theatre in Toowoomba.

My staff member's son bought her and her husband (both ex-pat pommies and floyd fans) tickets to the show.

But here is my question. Would you pay $70 per ticket to see a tribute band? Seems just a smidge on the high side to me.

$70 is about $50 too high. I remember seeing Bjorn Again (the abba Tribute) in the late 80's and they were a good tribute band. I paid nought! I have never paid for a Tribute band ever.

That's a rip-off. You wouldn't pay too much more for the standard seats to see a genuine band/artist.

Goughy,

.. is the show called "Beyond the Darkside" ????

If it is, it's well worth the money. I was originally going to drum in the show but it took too long to get together and i got a little impatient with the whole thing  Since then i've played gigs where we played on the same bill as that show, so i got to see it firsthand. It's awesome

The lighting and stage production is fantastic ... something you have to do if you're going to try and emulate the great Floyd

OK interesting. I kind of expected a different reaction from you. I don't know the name of the show, but I'll look.

Just wondering, if you play in these shows what happens to your work? They seem to tour around a ot.
