Bought a 10.5 and a 9 degree from the US and I've decided to keep the 10.5.
This club is new,I hit 4 balls at Vic Pk range with it and you can't tell, pics available.
The VS Proto is a stiff flex and length is standard from the Ping factory, sorry no headcover.
$530 shipped.....These retail for $750 in stores.

I don't want to take your WTS thread off-topic, but how does the VS Proto compare to other shafts of the same flex?

Its a middle of the range kick point between the Nv and the Nvs. Pretty highly rated shaft from what I hear.

Was just wondering if it played firm/soft in comparison to other shafts. I am considering replacing the UST Proforce V2 in my driver.

Not much of a shaft guru but feels about the same flex wise as a stiff NV or Prolaunch.
As far as characteristics go it seems to launch higher than an NV and has a tight feel to it,hard to explain but by tight I mean it feels accurate.

Good shaft, hard(er) to hit crooked, great dispersion. Does launch high in my opinion, but supposed to be not as soft as the NVS.

Dispersion....thats the word I was searching for, tight dispersion.

It feels different that the G2 or G5,buggered if I know how to explain it though, does'nt feel like a FT-3.

Jarro,
Having hit both the G5 and the Rapture, I'd say the Rapture sounds more solid than the G5. Bit more muted. More of a "thwack" than a "tink".
It doesn't really sound like a composite head. It just sounds like a solid titanium head.
Ducky,
The VS Proto does launch the ball higher than the NV. To me, the S flex Proto felt a bit stiffer than the S flex NV. If I remember correctly, you already hit the ball high, so I have a feeling this might not suit your swing.

I used a 10.5 Rapture with an X Stiff V2 65 today, first time in ages I actually got run when the ball landed.
At this moment it feels better than the G5 9° with Diamana I have been using. Feels more solid off the face. Looks great too 8)
