35 years on and I can still taste the disappoint.

For all its faults, I still look fwd to the tournament every year. Going to take Justin Thomas.

I watched the Amateur Women at Augusta event yesterday. It was quite enjoyable from the perspective of seeing players laying up at 13 and 15 instead of automatically blasting away at the green for two with middle irons.

More significantly, the greens were quite receptive, and not super quick. If this is an indicator, it might be a low scoring shootout Masters.

What type of player that favours I don't really know. Maybe the all rounders like JT and Rahm and, dare I say it, Cameron Smith.

It was a pretty good round given what he's coming back from. Had less rust than I expected, a few poor chips being the most obvious. I don't think it's unfair to say it was a great round considering the circumstances. I watched it live FWIW.

Been quite disappointed with this latest episode of "The Tiger Life" - they are spending way too much time focussing on the secondary characters and trying to provide them with a backstory, but surely they know that no-one cares. Yesterday's episode was much better, with the highlight of 'Tiger eating a sandwich' naturally taking precedent over any of that live golf crap.

I am watching in a bit of delay - but the golf being played by Scotty S and Charl is just amazing. Scotty's shot into 7 was sublime, but they all seem to just be on the money. That being said . . . Go to the App and look up his tee shot on 8 and tell me you haven't seen that swing on Senior's day at the local public course. he releases that right foot like it is on hot coals.

Lowry is a ball striking machine and Cam smith is just throwing darts in every green.

All i know, from playing Augusta in the 2K21 game, its the toughest course to score on hands down. Some of the greens are just brutal, 10, and 15 particularly downhill putts more common there. As the courses in the game are created from LIDAR imaging, all the terrain including greens are realistic, its worth getting this game for that experience alone

Using the Master’s website to watch the golf was quite good as a lot of it was ground level camerawork, so you truly got to appreciate the undulations in the course and the greens.

The course you want to play is under a very covert name and under the gaming brotherhood nobody mentions its name out loud. .there is a another course called August@ or like that which is trending popular right now but its bollocks, quality design work but the elevations are very wrong.

I played one on there last week that was named after the place that was there before the golf course. Dunno if it's the same one or not. This was in an in game society that plays with all aids and grids turned off so that was interesting.
