Hi... I've probably started off on the wrong foot here at ozgolf so let me try and make amends.

I came across this site while I was doing a bit of research on component clubs and despite being an active lurker on the other forum for a while I have to admit that I had no idea that this site existed ... Shame on me.

I took up golf a bit more seriously at the start of this year (prior to that I was just a hack at the driving range - now I'm a hack on the course) and must say, I am hooked on the game not to mention that I've become a bit of a clubho as well.

I'm based in Melbourne and generally just play public courses on the weekends (although I've taken a sickie today and might try get a game in in the arvo if the weather holds up). Might look into a private course over the next year or so depending on financial situation!

Usually shoot low 100's so have a lot of room for improvement! Anyway, that's me... Hope to have a game with you Melbourne guys one day.

Cheers,
Tak

As you've already found out, there a lot of tossers on this site, me included.

Welcome to the site, and hopefully you catch up with some of the guys in Melbourne for a round one day.

Rabs - you're not allowed to post on OzGolf until you have sold at least 20 items, or taken 20 threads off-topic.

I'll let the admins know it was an honest mistake.

How can you take threads off topic if they are never on topic in the first place.

I'm not quite sure that was the reason for the name... But it'll do.

Welcome aboard tak...

Just remember this forum is about 5000% more off-topic than ISG ever gets...

As reigning vic matchplay champ (feels good to say that), I say make sure you get involved in any ozgolf days coming up, the vic days are getting bigger all the time!!

fatrabbitbrain

Yeah noticed that they love going off-topic here! I'm probably going to try and play a few comps soon so I can get an official handicap.
