Someone just tried to scam me on Gumtree, but proposing to use Gumtree delivery. Looked into it and it's complete BS.

Anyone else had someone try this on?

I haven't personally but a friend has. She didn't fall for it either.

Yep, they send a link asking for credit card deets, then ask you to enter your account, pwd, etc.

It’s surprising what people fall for. Have witnessed it close hand very recently despite myself, close friends and some family members (one was going along with it) telling someone it’s not real.
We’re talking serious dollars lost here and heading for identity theft too before they started getting suspicious things weren’t legit. Family intervention revealed all with the proof from Government sources. This scam has been running since 2019 with some massive $$$ amounts victims have handed over.
This particular person ^ has fallen for scams on 2 other occasions. First time bank accts were shut down before damage was done. Second one only 2 months before third and very recent big one was a Gum Tree one with bank transfer not credit card.
