Changed flight to 2pm. Any chance to play and get me to the airport for 12/1230 on earlier? Will have to sort out returning rental car and getting to the course too.

Will put it to BVB, I’m sure we can accommodate that.
Glenelg GC literally is at the end of the runway so you will be fine getting to the airport

I have changed rental cars and will now have it until after this round so that is sorted out.

Glenelg have (as of this morning) just enforced a course closure on the morning 28/3 due to course renovations.
I have a few other ideas but worst case scenario I will host a group back at RA on the Monday
Apologies for the late change rest assured I will put something in play that is as good

Won't be an issue at all if we play RA. I might have some other options though and all CBD

You could play it in the afternoon, but that doesn't really help our interstate guest.

Monday round booked @ RA, 7:33AM
Due to work commitments I will only play about 3-4 holes.
BVB: please confirm if you wish to join us, I have reserved a spot for you
PeteyD: although its Groundhog day I reckon you will really enjoy this cold dewy morning round as RA really grows on you after repeat plays. Im sure BYU can provide insight into the holes while I am not around

Thank you for going out of your way to set this up. No issues at all playing it twice.

Played Glenelg today, greens were very sandy from coring. Condition overall was also a bit inconsistent.
They’re also re-building a new green and fairway on hole #13.
They have put in mod grass revetted facings in the bunkers. Must say I’m not a fan.
Also 18 is still bedding in with the new changes.
Arguably not the best time to be playing this course. For the same price you will get a much better experience at RA
Back has held up reasonably well although swing speed is much slower than usual and probably will be the case for the weekend. So no long drives for me

Good to hear. IIRC long drive last year wasn't won by a particularly long drive, as most missed the fairway... just pick a nice tight hole :)

This is probably for another thread but it just feels like Glenelg has had too much plastic surgery; they also put blue die in the pond catchment on #1 as well, makes you feel like you're playing a course in Dubai
So much unnatural mounding as well. Really boxes in the fairways leaving you with one option off the tee, straight

Long drive being won by a driving iron this year then? ;)

Long Drive hole is now the 3rd
edit: this WAS a joke, I think #8 or #17 is a goer

Dark as here at 6:45. There is something soothing in watching the lights of the mowers go around the course though.

Thanks again TC for organising today. Was a great time to play and we were finished by 1130. BYUs drive on 18 was a good one. Played a bit better than the rest of the weekend but no pressure ....

Yeah, was a great morning. I was hitting driver really well today. I can tick "hit one over the road on 18 at RA" of my bucket list:

Drive on 5 8 was alright too, up near blue tees on the 6 9th tee box:

I actually had a half decent drive on 8. Well short of that one though.
Good to be back in sunny Qld ...
