Has anyone done this ?

i have some waterproof spray.. and i will be playing on the weekend in a tropical storm and hurricane. Wondering if it works or just makes the grip stupidly slippery?

I have rain gloves - just thought this may be an option...

Your gunna have to get all the water off the gloves and grip, otherwise it wil be like aqua planing.

Otherwise i dont imagine the water proofing stuff would make it slippery on its own as i imagine its silicon based.

That does make sense... I will report back on Saturday.

If you used gripmasters you’d have no need for a glove and no problem in the rain.
Who the **** plays in the rain anyway, absolute stupidity…..

The rain gloves are quite good. I use the Footjoy model.

No idea how you guys use those grips. the tacky stinky horribleness of them, not to mention the cost !

Madness I say !

Have gone with this.. thinking of waterproofing only the back...

I will report back with the results.. and any stupid videos.

They do get saturated and can be a pain to take off and put back on.

In heavy rain, I’ll Tommy Gainey it and wear two, I’ll even putt with them on, which I’d normally never consider.

Never thought about waterproofing the back, but I think they’d still end up wet eventually with the osmosis the would occur.

I really rate these gloves though, wouldn’t play in the rain without them.
