I've used it 3 times and only as I got some discounts, I'm way over 20 years old so not going to go crazy with it.

I've had Afterpay for ages. It's like a layby but you get the goods upfront. 4 equal payments a fortnight apart with the first one coming out at the time of initial purchase. There's no extra cost to use it... they make their money in the form of penalties on defaulted payments. The only real benefit is to soften the blow to your account, or if you have cashflow issues.

It's probably all irrelevant now anyhow as Paypal has introduced 'Pay in 4', which is essentially the same thing.

Not sure if it still does... but Afterpay used to do a credit check every time you used it... and the more credit checks you get... the worse your credit rating gets. So just be careful.

Doubt that. Would cost them too much money, and the tin foil hatters would be outraged over the detrimental effect on fictional credit ratings.
