Ok, here is the thread for the Friday round. I have booked two groups for 1:04PM & 1.11 hit off.

Blackwood have a Stableford competition on. If you wish to go into this please head into the pro shop, present your GL number and pay $5. I intend to go in the comp personally but its entirely up to you. Do not pay your green fee as I have it already covered (hence the discount)

Turns out need to take mum to Flinders for and overnight exploration at 11:30am. Not too far to Blackwood from there.
As she lives alone the nurses will not allow her to go home until the next day.

Hey guys, I made it to SA. The people at the airport believed me when I declared that I hadn't been exposed to Covid or any other illness in the last 14 days (like everyone else in Australia). I'm planning to be at Blackwood about 12 to grab lunch.

Coopers Country took home the trophy with 33 points - sneaky fav for the champs, his best golf is way better than his handicap if he can get on a roll.

I scored 24 points and hit the ball quite well. It might be a very tough SA Champs for me if today is any indication.

Coopers Country made a miracle birdie for 5 points on the 12th.

Round one done and dusted. Thanks to all that played.
It was brutal out there today .............. well not really but the scores were reflective of tough conditions.
Course was fantastic condition, always enjoy playing Blackwood. No hosel rockets from the Wedge game but a blade and half a dozen stubbed chips/pitches is hardly inspiring with 2 more days to come. Add that I had one of my worst days with the putter that I can remember with 4 3jiggles and a 4jiggle on 12th after hitting my first green in reg for the day. Lucky I finished with 2 Pars or it would have been 1pt per hole average.

I had a lesson from Hatch on my putting - he was RIGHT!

I said I had 25 points, but in hindsight it was 24 :( Forgot to count the chip out on #7.
Too many mental scars from the narrow tee shots......

Be glad you guys were not plying there this morning! I drove past BGC at around 9.45am and it was absolutely chucking it down - lots of people cowering under brollies :)
