Hi guys,I have a set of Precept Tour Premium CB forged irons from the early 2000's which are long out of use. They are still my all time faves. A number of them have some surface rust spotting and the ones overused for practise have a rusty circle in the sweet spot. I am toying with the idea of trying to jazz the heads up and reshaft them with something else. No idea where to start really. A few questions if anyone can help; Can I expect to get much noticeable improvement in general appearance? How do I know what size shaft tips they take?Do I need any special equipment or can I just use a metal polish and try a few different grinder buffing type wheels? Is it possible to refresh the grooves at least a little?Any other helpful hints or links I need to know or see?Ta Mick(did an edit and the format went pear shaped on me)

Answer A
Geez mate bought and sold a set of those 5 years ago in great nick. Sold them for $90 and made a profit.
Why bother they're just rusted banged up shovels worth bugger all.
Answer B
First thing to do is get Bartenders Friend from Coles. This will clean them up nice. They are .355 Taper hosels.

Another lockdown in Victoria has given me an excuse to breathe some life back into an old set of Eye 2+. I know that many think they're ugly, but I've always loved them.I was fortunate to pick up this set off eBay a few years ago that were only a few k's from my old place in Melbourne. They are a complete set from 1 iron to lob wedge all with matching serials, but they were well worn and had some rust spots in the cavities. I spent yesterday afternoon giving them a light sandblast and new paintfill, and I think they came up alright.https://www.ozgolf.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53630&stc=1https://www.ozgolf.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53633&stc=1https://www.ozgolf.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53634&stc=1https://www.ozgolf.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53631&stc=1https://www.ozgolf.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53632&stc=1https://www.ozgolf.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53635&stc=1
