View Full Version : Brissy demo day. Oxley driving range. Monday 23rd. 7pm

Jarro
15th August 2004, 05:31 PM
what do you Brissy lads say we arrange a hit at a driving range one night.

We can all have a hit with whatever gear is there .. you know, try some new stuff out 8) .. and have a bitch about the guys that don't turn up :P

Now it'll only work if a large number of us turn up .. you know, more gear to try that way

Good idea :?: Throw some comments (nice ones) and we'll see what happens from there :D

AndyP

Sounds like a good idea. I'll bring the Prisms.

Why don't you use the g69 approach and just tell us all the date, time and place?

This sounds like a court case waiting to happen!

Jarro-'Allright, which one of you b@$tards put a sky mark on my R7?'

He let me use it during my form slump. Maybe deep down he doesn't really like the club.

Some people have lives too. :P

Great gathering tonight, guys. Thanks for letting me use and abuse your clubs.

Two standouts for me tonight:
A-Lo's Maxfli Ezydrive 19° (Graphite Shaft) - this thing was so bloody easy to hit. I'm already happy with my purchase of the 22°, without even seeing it yet. :D
Vegas' Titliest 975J (Graffaloy Blue Shaft) - just feels so much better and reliable than the piece of crap I am using. Goes straighter, goes further. =P~

Honorable mention:
Jarro's TM Black RAC 56° - felt nice, felt softer than my Vokeys'. Not that I have a problem with my Vokeys. Plus the Black is sexy.

I tried Andylo's Ezydrive 19 right at the end. Great little club. Not sure how far the shots were going, but I'd guestimate around 190-200m with a nice high soft fade. Cool 8) AndyP - you were hitting some of the graphite shafted drivers long and straight last night. Maybe it's time for an upgrade...

Kee's 983K with lurid green shaft (NV?) was pretty strong too. Only hit a couple but it seemed to fly very high and long. Wonder how nice a 983K would be with a Blue in it??

I know this has been said before, but OH MY GOD NUDGEE YOU ARE A BRUTE    I was telling my mate Jayson about how long you were and I'm not sure he believed me until last night. AWESOME! Great to see that my club could handle the abuse were dishing out. At least I never have to worry about out-growing it

Iain, too, was striping the ball last night and put on a precision demonstration by picking off branches in the tree at the back of the range at will. Nice :D

Thanks guys! Good to see you all again. Looking forward to the next game. 8)

Thanks jarro and guys.

The R7 driver is a must try and I really will get one this year for god sake. It just go so straight no matter how bad I hit it and I wish everyone lastnite did tried it.

Vega's Tommy Evo iron is good too, I don't really have the skill to swing it yet but a couple of time I hit it right and it feel so sweeeet.

Thanks for Terry too, so I know the up-right angle of my irons are all wrong so I don't have to blame myself so badly next time when I have a horrible swing

And Nudgee.... man, what the hell you eat everyday, you are hitting them LOOOOOOOONG!!! And with so many goodies in your bag I have the mixture feeling of jealous and hate on you .... Thanks Nudgee, for the Jap driver!!

Iain, thanks for letting me know my Sonartec feel better than yours!! (just kidding, the reason is the shaft is too strong for me)

Nice to meeting all of you guys again. Looking forward for the next game :)

Pete

I hit Kee's rescue, and it was sweet. I really wanted to try it out side-by-side with Iains NP-99.. and after hitting them both i came to the conclusion that the Rescue is better for me :D Really easy to hit both of them off the deck, but the Rescue looks a lot easier on the eye to me....

.. so i suppose it's off to Ebay now for a stickybeak

BrisVegas
24th August 2004, 09:53 AM
I hit Kee's rescue as well. Very nice, like all rescues. It had a firmer/heavier feel than the Maxfli of Andylo's, so it would probably suit a stronger swinger.
