As some of you may remember, I was searching for a mallet putter a while ago. I went through a lot of different options (thanks to everyone on here who I bought one from; a list sadly too long to mention you all individually ...), but the best one for me turned out to be a Bettinardi BB56. There is almost no 'chat' about this putter on the various message boards, and it is downright ugly, but it is the most forgiving putter in terms of distance control I have ever tried. Long putts that I reckon I have slightly mishit still end up in fair proximity to the hole, whereas I think the same strike with my Odyssey No. 7 etc would have finished at least 3-4 feet shorter. Last couple of rounds I haven't three-putted once, which is a good sign.
It is exactly what I was looking for in a mallet - well worth trying one if you are on the lookout for something different.
