Well it appears the best show on TV has started to filter some clips and shows through for all to view. If you have watched this show you will be in total agreement with me about it being the best, if you haven't and have broadband do yourself a favour and watch some stuff. I love it.

Agreed Jaster, one of the best shows going round.
Never had LOL moments watching a car show till this one!

Courty
5th August 2006, 09:20 PM
I concur. This show is the best. A combination of awesome cars and british humour. Couldn't get any better (except maybe some nekkid sheilas ;))

jaster
5th August 2006, 09:24 PM
Haha...I agree totally Courty regarding the humour, such tongue in cheek which is typical of the Brits and reminds me not too take myself too serious but I disagree regarding the chicks and trust me I am not a prude, I have never understood what naked/scantily clad chicks and cars have to do with each other and one of the major reasons I love Top Gear so much as it doesn't carry on with that BS. V8 supercars is never watched in my home for that exact reason.

Courty
5th August 2006, 09:28 PM
Yeah, but you do like nekkid sheilas, don't you? Regardless of whether they're draped over cars or not. :D
I love Clarkson's reviews of some of the hottest cars going around. He tells the ugly truth of how good (or bad) the cars are, gets down to the nitty gritty... Did you see last week how he offered £20 to anyone who could get in & start the TVR Tuscan in under a minute?

jaster
5th August 2006, 10:36 PM
Mate married to a gorgeous blonde so I wear blinkers, as I said I'm not a prude I just hate looking at bimbos draped over cars. Golf clubs....maybe ;)

Last week was funny, I can't believe no one could start that car (and some couldn't get in it even!!) but then again it is a TVR...what a sweet car!!

Jaster,

I think the new season may have just started so I actually don't know. But I will be finding out. Even the wife is happy to watch it. Its a bit moe of a "car guy" show than Top Gear which is more "magazine" style to me.

jaster
7th August 2006, 09:02 AM
Yeah last week they did that Lexus vs BMW comparison which I thought was good and a good driving test with some other cars which was very well thought out IMO. Overall though I couldn't be happier with either show, so much better than just watching "pure" motorsport (says he who watched Buttons win last night :p) all the time.

This week they had little 4 wheel buggies on with 900cc motorbike engines. 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds. God damn they looked FUN!

Hope he recovers.

Word on the BBC tonight is that he has severe brain damage. Very sad indeed. Recycle the cliche - it was doing something that he loved.

Big story on how these people are doing this to themselves not only doing what they love, but what we want them to be doing.

Anyway, i've only watched it a few times but the fact it happened still plain sucks.

Probably my favourite tv show. Those buggies rawked! Even the one with the snowmobile motor went like a supercar. Yeah Clarkson is a bit of a tool, but the other two guys were a good counterpoint most times.

...the 430 was my pick out of the supercars...just that little bit more practical!

Surely you can't judge a supercar on practicality!!!

Give me the Zonda -a crazy car for a crazy price and now available in Australia!!

Toolish
30th January 2007, 02:16 PM
If I had a super car I would want to be able to drive it long distances, not just skirt around the block. To do that in a Zonda is not possible. A Ferrari, yep, i could do it. Road trip down the Great Ocean Road in the 430 would be awesome!

I see your point though...:D

not sure it come in straight black does it...
well that'll be one less (factory made, ie not repaired) of them that there will ever be. Such a shame, it is such a good story those cars. nice to hear a story of enthusiasm driven developement rather than $ driven.

The one I saw on Top Gear was straight black ... maybe a special one they did for TV.

On their website though there seem to be a lot of 2-tone (red/black, blue/black) cars.

I think that one they had in the studio was actually titanium grey and dark grey. I believe it is the same display car that bugatti use at the shows.
You give me that car and i'd take any colours :)
i agree though the red and black doesn't look really good on that pranged up one. Looks a lot nicer in the glossy photos thought!

Maybe. If they treat the show with the respect (and budget) that Kerry would have afforded, it'll be fine. If they do a "James" on it, it'll go the way of Sunday.
