I would bet on 2 ants crawling across the table so when I got this tip from a mate earlier today, I thought why not.

Gold Coast Greyhounds Tonight (7.08pm), Race 2, No 4, Breeding is exceptional and this is its first major outing.

Looks like dogs 3 & 5 are not running so it should not get squeezed if it is quick enough.

Paying about $7 for the win at the moment (5.20pm), but not much in the win pool yet.

I'm trying to get on board but my Dad isn't answering his phone (I don't have an online TAB account).

Came second though... paid $3.10 a place!

The trainer bred and trained one of the best greyhounds to ever race in Australia... however, they don't all come out like that!

Well I have been doing pretty good with my dogs betting system? I am only backing the 6, it has worked well over the past few weeks. I am about 25% up:p

I swore off the 6 dog when they changed his colours from brown to green. Its just not the same anymore (bring back the brown!)

no Trifectas Dan, last night boxing 1,2,3 would have earned a packet at Wentworth Park though.

The six dog?? That is statistically the worst box there is in greyhound racing!! Why would you pick it??

Yeah - why did they do it? I noticed it a few weeks back and thought it was a reserve (#9) racing... What does nine wear now?

Nice day of racing today.

I have an all up in Melbourne - Miss Finland into Haradasun into Sphenophyta. The first two should win comfortably although I'm slightly worried about Efficient in the 2nd leg. Sphenophyta first up should show something.

I got a tip to get on Gallant Guru in the 5th at Caulfield. Number 5, first run back from a spell I was told.

Dumb luck.

Friday arvo WGC odds stood at:

O'Hern @ $41 and overcomes Tiger Saturday morning. Mind you, was 4 up after 7 and went to the 20th.
Immelman @ $21 and playing solid golf.

Both the above blokes doing well in the Quarters, if they both win I have a player in the final - guarranteed. Immel has a 5&4 win with 8 birdies in 14 holes, O'Hern 1 up, 2 to play and in control on the 17th.

Hang on, I thought O'Hern blew away the choking demons?! Loses 17 and 18 to lose 1 down. Ffs.

Immelman comes out in the afternoon round and can't hit a green or sink a putt. Loses 3&2.

It's a mugs game.

I was on O'hern @ $51. Bugger!

well one of the best value races of the year is but a couple of hours away, and seeing noone else seems throwing names out i thought i might.
Value - Chuck "Cecconi" in any quin of tri, or play it each way
Better horse than oddsuggest - "Forensics" it looked so impressive two starts back, has oli in the seat, i think it'll be there abouts.

The barrier draw pumped the odds, you could have a handfull of tickets and still profit on this one :)

Good luck

Yeah ran well, it'd be interesting to see the fall out at the stable after race. Oli got the pick of the rides i would have thought... (but anyway it's all history now)
Good to see a couple of you got on, i can only sit back and wish i had of had a decent crack at it. Excellent value that race!!!

I was on Chinchilla Rose yesterday after it made me a happy man 3 or so weeks ago. Was quoted at long-ish odds but got down to $8 in Sydney. She likes to trail the pack and come over the top, but there was no chance in yesterday's 400m brawl, although if you look at the replay she had a great inside run when it cleared out. Not enough room or time to get to the head of the field.

Thankfully I slapped a late e/w on Zizou prior to the start to soften the blow.

I'm up for the punters club this weekend. $200 kitty and i took $20 out for a myriad of punts on nags over the w/e but i thought there was value in the Cricket tonight. Windies most 6's @ $1.42 / Windies highest opening partnership @ $1.43 / Windies highest total after 10 overs @ 1.35. If they aren't good value playing the banga's i'll cartwheel nude to Sydney. Do yourself a favour, if you choose to get on one of them multiply it by the Crusaders tomorrow. They are dominant (would match any national side in current form!)
Punt hard

kpac
19th April 2007, 04:07 PM
PS the $180 i put in the west indies highest opening partnership @ $1.43 multiplied by crusades @ $ 1.20 = $1.71
Kick em home :) :)

Anyone else got a semi over derby day tomorrow.....? Easily my favourite day of spring, In the big races it's too hard to sprout tips sorry, fields are too tight, but there are a couple of 'certs' that i've circled in my book. Running short but a good thing is exactly that.
Race 1 in Adelaide - Recooperate
Race 3 in Rocky - Chiffon and Lace
Race 6 in Melb - Douro Valley <- love this horse, i recon a better chance than the rest.. very tough race though - each way value

Then whatever the above returns will go all up on Divine Madonna in the classic. Class of its own for mine.
All the best anyone having a crack tomorrow or over the carnival in general.

Go kubbitz....got to liveys in the M Cup now.
Eags I had a $5 all up on that winner of the Saab that paid $22 into Princess Coup...was it unlucky ?

No mate, not really but Princess Coup is screaming out for the 2 miles :smt023
It was a very slow pace up front so took him awhile to wind up but ran on very strong ;)
I had Littorio in the Derby as well but he was never going to beat Kubbitz :(
