Just to give a heads up. On Friday the 18th of August, there's a 4BBB tourney as part of the Ekka week. This is open to any members outside of the Brisbane region, so some of us as members of the SEQDGA are eligible to get onto Brisbane Golf Course for those who have never played it.

This would have been great in another week, but I'm already taking Mon/Tues off prior to Ekka.
Only played the course once, but really liked it.

Does that mean if you are a member of the BDGA it's not an open day?

I wonder if I can extend leave out to Friday ...

Think so. Its designed for players from the country getting the opportunity to play Brisbane, when they come in from the Plains to the Ekka

This is all part of "Country Week" if you check your BDGA calendar. there are events on all week at Oxley, McLeod, Wynnum, Pacific & Brisbane.

Can't be that long until the Yeerongipilly Cup, which is an Open Pro-Am. I played in it a few years back and I think it was in Aug/Sept. Not many other chances for the great unwashed to get onto Brisbane GC. Nice track.
