Hi all,
Bumped into a mate last night at the driving range, and ended up joining his golf clinic. Was pretty packed so just ended up getting around 10minute of the pro's time.

Anyway, the issues I had was:
- my longer irons are pretty low, so trying to gain height
- occasional flipping of my wrist on the shorter irons (9,P,A)

For the longer irons, I was previously placing the balls too far right to the middle of the stance; I've place the balls more to the front and getting better ball flights. BUT, I do have issues of occasional thin shots, or fade to mini slice.
on a quick review by the pro on his phone, his assessment was that my back swing was on plane, but I am hitting out and in over the ball, and the flipping issues would be partially related the over the ball swing.

His quick drill he has given me was to do the flamingo stance swing, and another is placing an alignment stick at a slight angle behind the ball position, and swing back making sure i dont hit the stick.

for the longer irons, I seems to be able to get it right, but the shorter irons still have a tendency to thin it or duff it with this drill.... I was told I was still handsy with my downswing.

So, I am wondering if anyone can suggest other drills that can help with these problems?

Also, I have set the irons to C9 swing weight, would the also cause this issue with the flipping with the shorter irons?

Just keep buyng new stuff Oki.

For the longs irons, chuck them out and buy a hybrid.

For the short irons flipping, trust the loft and buy an impact bag.

To hold through impact and stop the flip, an impact bag , as Jazz suggests. Or an old wedge or iron with a old shaft or length of dowel through the end of the grip. If you flip, the shaft/dowel will make contact with your upper body through impact.
