ok weird thing has been happening to me on here lately and only seems to happen on my work machine.

I click on 'new posts' and it takes me to the paypal website, i go back and try again and for some reason it takes me to paypal again.

sometimes this happens once, sometimes it happens several times.

anyone else getting this or should I lay off the coke?

Your work has installed a virus to stop you surfing forums during work time. You have probably also had trouble logging on to your regular porn sites as well.

No problems here, I think Andrew might be onto something though. ;)

ThomMoe, does this only happen when clicking on New Posts on the portal page?
Does it take you to the paypal homepage or does it take you to a specific payment area?

The problem could be between the chair and the computer

If you don't like paypal, I could change the link to direct to your favourite porn site.

check the programming of your mouse buttons. I use Firefox on a Linux machine and I have programmed the wheel button to open links in a new tab.

Occasionaly i miss click it and it opens up a web page i visited a few days ago (but seemingly random) - it completely bewilders me why, Could be something similar.

or: instead of clicking on the link, try "open link in new window" with a right click, and other variations.

also: keep an eye on the status bar as you click on it, see what strange things happen there.

its left click on my work machine which runs standard ie

the status bar down the bottom shows paypal link after i click on it, but the title at on the taskbar of the window remains ozgolf despite being a paypal webpage open...

Got spyware?

Moe Norman

it's my work machine - i have no control over whats on it.

however, there is no chance there is any spyware, out IT dept is pretty top line and also very strict.

depends on how quick it changes from Finding to Opening and at what point it renames to paypal.

its just a hunch but if you dont have locked a down computer go to the command line and type: ipconfig /flushdns

if still not solved, open the ozgolf web page (der your already there) pull your network cable out, and then click on the link and watch the status bar again. wont fix it but you should be able to isolate it now to your computer or your network.
