View Full Version : Hypothetical - $200 at Drummond

I won a $200 voucher for Drummonds to be spent by the end of the month.
I don't need a bag, or a buggy, or any clubs. I am pretty set with clubs and spares.
I have 10 pairs of shoes, 15 pairs of golf shorts, and 30 shirts. I have a rangefinder, I have everything I need.

What would you invest the $200 in?

Only valid at Fyshwick so no good here otherwise I would have offered it up.

Just checked the website. A high quality wet weather jacket could be the winner.

Flog it off on here or ebay at slightly under the value price.

Or just go and spend it on something you don't need. With 10 pairs of shoes, 15 pairs of shorts & 30 shirts it obviously hasn't stopped you in the past

Stuff for the little Bennos?

They have a junior set each. But a worthy and honorable suggestion.

+1.
Even if it is just for non-golf use over a jumper, when commuting, on a lunch break or watching the footy/netball.

Or a putter. Brings a decent Ping down to around $100, or a Scotty to $300-ish.

Benno, clear out your PM inbox.

Otherwise, we'll have to resort to talking across the table, down at the Vic. Champs.

Have you reached your 3-wood purchase quota for the year yet? Same 3 wood in my bag as 4 years ago. 10 others have failed to replace it

What about hats? Surely you need a few extra of various colours so that you can be all coordinated for the Vic Champs.

I think your idea of a good winter jacket is on the money.
I bought a good one 5 years ago, and it is my best purchase - don't need a jumper with a good jacket, light and flexible.
Cross is expensive, but good value.

Hang on, are you saying you're from Canberra and you don't already own a good waterproof jacket?

Don't worry about the brand name, it's all about the fabric. Gore-tex or similar waterproof/breathable all the way.

Gore-tex or similar waterproof/breathable all the way. What about being fashionable as well as practical? I'm surprised that the Leftyhoges fashion guru thread hasn't been bumped ahead of the Vic Champs. :)
