Foxsports have rounds 1 & 2 from 6pm AEST til about 11pm. I'm guessing Channel Eddie will have it on some time after that.
The Foxsports times are a great way to see most of the field over the first 2 days at user-friendly hours.

The last few years Fox has shown all the first two days, and the first three or four hours of the last two days, then nine takes over.

I read that Nine aren't sending any commentators over, so apart from Ken in the studio we should get the English commentators and a few ads only.

My bold predictions: Tiger, Ogilvy, Adam Scott or a local victory, maybe Casey or Howell, or (dare I say it), Monty.

Apparently the course is hard and fast, which is unlikely to favour the Americans.

they had the Pro from Hoylake on the Golf Show last night and he was giving a review of the course and how the players might work their way around the course 8)

fair dinkum, from some of the tees he was standing on, you couldn't even SEE the fairway ... let alone the trouble spots this guy was pointing out

He also pointed out some of the changes they did to the course a few years ago ... new greens and the like .... looks really tough.

Jarro, it looked like a real British Open Course though didn't it. How deep were those fairway pot bunkers, I am sure I saw bones in them from guys who went into them in 1967.
Clubhouse reminded me of the style of Bonnie Doon & the old Australian clubhouses.

man if that wind gets up, as it usually does over there, i can't see anyone shooting real low numbers for 4 rounds.

Yeah, did you notice how the pro said that a bunker that looked wa yoff line comes into play if the player does not hit enough club. Also at the same hole he said he would hit 2 iron but expects players to be hitting 4-5 irons in. Are club pros not on the same juice or something? I can understand him being 1 club less but 2-3:-k

Andrew Buckle is a starter (http://foxsports.news.com.au/story/0,8659,19839923-23213,00.html). That makes 23 Aussies!

Checked the fox program last night thurs 6-12 with 2 hours between 4 and 6 with open history and best shots ever hit etc. fri 6-12 sat 8-12 and
sun 9-12. Not as much as one would like but better than zip and having to listen to channel 9 bozos crap on like they actually know what is going on.

I know, I was pissed off about it too. I could care less about local news, nothing exciting happens anyway.

Unfortunately, even when it started the coverage is still poor. Have you seen a station ever have so many advertisements?

The coverage goes something like this:

Woods hits a shot.
Katayuma hits a shot.
Faldo bogeys another hole and gets teary.
*insert 50 advertisements*

Moe Norman

i turned it off after I watched for an hour and didn't see one Aussie despite Ogilvy and Scott being out on course. Woods group was followed exclusively.

Jarro

sounds like the coverage for every other tournament Moe

Pete, it's 'The Onion'. They don't know the meaning of inappropriate satire.
