As the title says, Azza is coming down to Sydney and is looking for a game on Friday 21st. With Trung's game on Thu 20th, I was hoping to combine the two, but Azza doesn't arrive till Thursday night and it seems Trung can not play on Friday.

I'm thinking of playing in the Friday open day at either Oatlands or Ryde Parramatta. If anyone can/wants to join us, please put your name down. I'll ring the clubs some time this week and see how many spots are available.

EDIT:

Trung is out. Date and Venue changed as above. I have reserved the remaining two spots for Ozgolfers. If you like links style golf, Longreef is a good test. 8)

Just talked to Azza on the phone. 8)

We are going to try to go to the PGA golf show on Friday instead. Aiming for a game at Longreef on Monday. Hopefully we can get 2 more NSW Ozgolfers to join us.

C'mon people. We gotta show some NSW hospitality here ... ;)

But he cannot provide me for the $$$$ lost due to no shift penalties for sick leave. Base Wage = no dinner for wife and kid.

Tell 'em not to eat. Australia has an obesity problem anyway. Or tell 'em that the family is doing the forty hour famine in aid of the poor.

Jono,

I was saving my RDO for a possible weekday Matchplay with Brad. Unless he comes up with a last minute plan, I can move from the Friday to the Monday, so I think I can make this game.

Is it comp, or social?

Can you arrange for the breeze not to blow too hard? I reckon I could tame Long Reef on a still day, but it's a strong challenge in the wind.

Jim,

It's their Monday open comp. The cost is around $25 or something.

Don't know about the wind ... I'm just hoping it's going to be dry. Haven't had much luck with the weather lately.

OK ... one spot left. 8)

Readers might be wondering about the result of this game.

Jono was clearly too disappointed to report that there was no game. Rain Prevented Any Play.

Perhaps Long Reef was the only course right under the rain clouds, but it rained solidly for the hour we were there, and by the time we were brave enough to approach the pro shop, parts of the course were under water.

Bad luck for Azza, who came down from Brisbane, and will return without enjoying Sydney Golf. Nice to meet you, anyway!
