Had a titleist fitting day at our golf club today, hit the new AP2 and got fit into the AP3, all the new irons look great, but was hitting the AP3 the best, good looking head and is only slightly bigger than the ap2 but with a bit more offset.

They create an interesting model line up, with the AP3s in the middle. It seems to me that it was an excuse to push the AP1s lofts out to where it would be competitive with TM etc. Probably long overdue . I don't mind the look of them, from the pics I have seen so far.

Yeah there a good looking iron id say they are in a similar category to z565. The Ap1 and Ap3 have similar lofts tough the gap wedge in the ap3 is 48 and looks good, probably would use it and 52 and 58 wedges.

Love the look of the new 718's. I play the 716 CB and they are great. I know I don't need to upgrade, but I love new things haha so I probably will. Definitely building a combo set though. T-MB in 3/4, CB in 5/6, MB in 7/8/9 then Vokey SM6 46/52/58.

My local range has all the 718 demos.

I've been hitting a few balls with the AP3 7-iron. It looks great, but almost identical for size/shape at address to the AP2... and it feels super springy off the face.

Most average punters out there wouldn't know what degree/ lofts there irons are. All they know is "I hit this further than my last set"

The lofts are jacked up, but they feel very nice during the honeymoon period. I got the 5 iron through to 48 degree wedge with the set I got.

Got mine today and played 9 holes, only got to use a couple of them but they feel good and seem pretty forgiving. Just waiting on the 48, it never came with the rest so may be on backorder.

I moved them on because the lies were not right for me....and they don't bend easily!
They are long and feel great. I would consider a set customised for me down the track.
I'm not after more distance, just good feel and consistency!

I am trying to find out how they compare with Titleist MB blades.

I hit them at the fitting day and found them great to hit, much easier (I should say forgiving) then the MB Blades. The stats off trackman had them better for me then the AP3’s, but I couldn’t justify the price difference (extra $100/club).
