wazamac
20th July 2017, 05:18 PM
Not sure about comp at this stage. It is at my home track but not sure elsewhere.

If farming is important, this could be another factor.

Peppas
20th July 2017, 10:37 PM
My flight arrives around 830 so would be keen to do the grange double if there is enough time :)

Up to 5 players for a Thursday Round.

Can we go at least 1 more?

Peppas

I think Benno was keen on the grange double also :)

Waza:

put me down as an emergency 6th player - if Benno comes he can have my spot no dramas at all

I am happy to help with organising this day - If you like I could call Glenelg and see if we can get a decent fee for 6 players

wazamac
26th July 2017, 09:26 AM
Cheers TC, help is always appreciated. Glenelg is an option.

I think over the last few years the boys are amendment on playing Grange at some stage. This would be preferable for the interstaters.
If people don't want to only do the one course and drop out for the other that is also fine.
It is always going to be tight for the people flying in that morning to do the double, but I suppose daylight savings will be in by then.

Lined up for a hit at Noosa Springs yesterday and get paired with a Grange member 😜😜 and low and behold the pair in front of us were also Grange members, who woulda thunked, my partner is a ripper older bloke that i'm sure would love a game with us if required, nice track also

Off a good CD that one.

Pure Morning, Placebo.

A friend in need's a friend indeed,
A friend with weed is better,
A friend with breast and all the rest,
A friend who's dressed in leather,

A friend in need's a friend indeed,
A friend who'll tease is better,
Our thoughts compressed,
Which makes us blessed,
And makes for stormy weather,

A friend in need's a friend indeed,
My Japanese is better,
And when she's pressed she will undress,
And then she's boxing clever,

A friend in need's a friend indeed,
A friend who bleeds is better,
My friend confessed she passed the test,
And we will never sever,

Day's dawning, skins crawling
Day's dawning, skins crawling
Day's dawning, skins crawling
Pure morning
Pure morning
Pure morning

A private club with a massive membership + have many interstaters paying top dollar on the '4 reds' promotion (playing RA, Kooey and Glenelg as well)

So I guess any local interest really becomes more of a hindrance to them than an opportunity

Ok, latest is:

Spoke to Gary today in the Pro Shop that I went to school with and he transfered me straight to someone in the office.
She has taking a preliminary booking but the course coordinator will need to confirm towards the end of the week as she is not in until then.

Should be $200 for the first round and $85 for the second plus lunch but this will also be confirmed.

I have asked for a 9:30 -9:45 kick off which gives Peppas an hour from landing to the course. Bit tight but should be just doable. Airport to the golf course would be 15/20 minutes not allowing any bakery stops unfortunately but if needed for energy, I can bring one.
Light should not be an issue as we will be into daylight savings at that time and probably won't get dark until 7:30 or so.

Nope. The Single Lock Up Garage added value to the property by having the hottest streak I have ever seen from a 13 handicap. He did show us why he is not on low single figures with his wipe wipe start and a stumble finish.
It was awesome while it lasted though.
West was fantastic, East was strange. I guess the members wanted something different.

West is so much fun, certainly not as attractive as other tier 1 courses but it offers such a wide range of options going into the green, love the finish, 17-18 the best in Adelaide IMO

East sits on the wetlands/floodplains and offers nothing but a heroic approach to each raised green. bunkers are deep and very penal; this course shows Norman's personality through and through but does contain a small selection of really good holes, particularly on the back nine.
