Anyone know what these are liek to play? And what does 5.5 stiffness translate to for DG's?

The RAC's are certianly not in the "game improvement" category! They offer some forgiveness though, along with traditional size and miniaml offset. The last homestayer I had was a 12 hcap and he had a set. He loved them.

They're pretty similar to the RAC CB's that Iain had.

Are they long enough for you Pete?

Rifle 5.5 is a fraction softer than S300 in the True Temper scale. They're a nice shaft and some people swear by them.

I have the previous model RAC Combo irons (http://www.ozgolf.net/gallery/v/WITB/Courty/IMG_0035.jpg.html).
They are nice clubs. The heads are noticably shorter from heel to toe than some other clubs I have looked at (ie. Mizuno MP-30). Feedback is excellent and they are really soft out of the middle. I'm not sure what PX 5.5 compares to. Someone else will have to help you out with that one...

the 2005 RAC TP (all CBs) are pretty good...

the 2006 RAC TP (all MBs) looks sweet - that's about it...

the 2005 RAC TP (combo) would be the best of both worlds...

I've used 5.5s Lite before in my AEPs - great shaft - launches the ball nice and high...

Not a patch on Wishon 550M/550C Combos, PeteD..... ;)

The Project X 5.5 play similar in flex to Dynmaic Gold S300's, but with a slightly higher launch, IMO. Nice looking irons, BTW...

Oh my, some people have strange definitions of "mint" and "like new".

Yea - it is pretty funny, unless they are talking peppermint or spearmint.

Irons show normal usage and are in mint condition. There is a minor ding on the sole of the 7 iron...

nice looking irons though, they look fairly forgiving too ... moreso than a set of , say, ... Titleist blades.

I've hit 'em they aren't much good. Not much feedback for a forged iron.

Do yourself a favour and get some forged 300's easier to hit and better feel.

the difference between hitting them in the middle and off the toe is minimal in feel. and thats not because it feels good hitting it off the toe....

I felt like I was swinging a block of metal, not a nice forged steel.

I agree with Moe - the TM300's are by far the best players club that TM have released. All this RAC & TP stuff is just a wank.

Surely you can't base an argument against on a few whacks into a net ??? well... I guess you can, but it's not a fair assessment IMO...

i hit them on the range off the grass, didn't like them.

it's only an opinion.

The RAC MB's aren't too bad, but for a blade they don't have much workability and go pretty high.

Thanks for the advice guys. Doesn't seem like anyone that has actually hit em likes em. Sitting on my hands again :)

Mate, I have hit them all enough times to know what is the better club (not in the net, not off mats either, but off grass). And its an easy choice in my opinion. The 300 series forged irons are easily the pick of the bunch.

I hit 'em too, not bad ... not great either.
