just wondering... but why do you need more loft?

bought a 10.5 blind a while ago and it was good, got fitted and 12 was better. have some swing tips to work on that should improve my angle of attack but sometimes it is easier to fit the club to the swing, rather than the other way around

I bought my M1 17 with a stiff flex in a similar situation... was not able to hit the ball properly.... just picked up a older fuji 50 regular flex shaft from an older M2 and I am hitting pretty well with it, less slice and faster club head speed...
Funny enough I was not able to hit it either when I tried my friend's M2 17 regular flex shaft on my M1...

I thought I needed a higher loft driver too

interesting. we played around with different shaft and head combos. my starting point was my m2 10.5 and a reg shaft from last years m2 reg shaft ....coincidence :) my numbers improved with an oban shaft, improved more adjusting the head up a couple of degrees (but i didn't like the look at address, then better again with a 12 deg head and the oban shaft. tried the epic and cobra heads too. cobra did pretty well too.

I think for my situation, I was able to achieve a faster club head speed with a "normal" swing with the lighter shaft, where as when I try to on the stock stiff shaft, I needed to "swing harder" resulted in wild slice, so I needed to slow down my swing to "normal" but achieve slower speed and less distance...
