Getting some great distanceAs a new player (1 yr with a 40 handicap) I am always looking for all the help I can get to try and improve my game. I received a pack of 2 x SS2 balls as a free sample from Forte Golf and gave them a try without much of an idea what to expect. All I can say is that the distance I have been getting with my drives has increased approximately 15-20mts. The ball moves very quickly and can sometimes be difficult to stop on the green but overall I have been very happy with the results. Would be happy to try out any other products from Forte and would highly recommend anyone wanting to try get's on their site to see if you can still get on board with the offer.

Just thought I would mention that I have used the Forte Golf balls . Specifically the tour performance S and the SS2 soft and have found them really long but also plenty of feel and touch around the greens - great to putt with also...

I was sent a trail pack of the golf balls via a facebook page I came across. Although not much change in distance with my driver the control, distance, height and spin I got on my irons was exceptional.

Yes I got a sleeve of them a few months back and was surprised with their performance. Pity I lost one OB on the first swing with it but the other two I got a few rounds out of. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with distance and putting. Once I exhaust my current ball stock Forte balls will be on m shopping list.

:D very happy to finally get the opportunity to play with a golf ball that feels great and also is affordable.i tried the ss2 soft golf ball from forte golf and loved it. it has been a long time coming but for about $20 this would have to be the best value going around in golf balls.i have no doubt there are better golf balls available in a particular way but for an average golfer will only work from feel and distance . Both of these are excellent here and not being sponsored to play golf these make make it a hole lot cheaper to play and enjoy the game.

Don't judge a ball by it's name until you try it. I usually use Callaway Supersoft (and occasionally Wilson Duo, Srixon Soft Feel or Ultisoft) and was sent a sleeve of 2 Forte SS2 balls. I was sceptical at first but these balls are longer, adding 20 metres to my popgun drive, just as or more durable, have a great feel off the club and a really great feel off the putter. They are generally straight off the club and I have had no trouble getting them into the air or stopping them on the green. They are only available by mail order but I will certainly be buying the SS2 when my current supply of balls is exhausted.

You'd probably be aware that the Forte crew regularly promote free two ball trial packs through social media. Their latest "free ball" campaign has some invisible small print that may waste your time.

The campaign starts out as a "hey go through our ball fitting process on our website and you get two free balls". They have a clunky webform process that spits you out at the end with an email letting you know which ball is the "most suitable" for you.

I went through the process twice but there was no option to register a shipping address. So then it was off to the Forte golf Facebook page to let them know about the problem only to see that plenty of others were having that problem too. "Griffin Forte" was responding to the comments with "send me a private message".

So, I DM Griffin Forte and long story short, they're not that interested in you if you've ever had free golf ball from one of the prior campaigns and they want you to share and tag 3 of your friends on social media. Then I think after all of that he said you get a trial pack. But I can't confirm that would be the case because I gave up because it was taking up way too much time. It would've been nice if the invisible fine print wasn't so invisible at the start of the process.

To be clear, this is just an FYI not a rant. The lure of "two free golf balls" may not be as quick and easy as it initially seems.

Have to agree. I tried some out, and there are a number of other options that I found suited my game much better for a similar price point. Are they bad golf balls - in fairness, no. But are there better options out there for the same price - in my opinion, definitely yes.

I don’t work for them , and was truthful in my post , was truly surprised with the distance on 17 , am an old bloke so is not often I get under 100 mts out from a green especially 17 . They are like all my other golf balls however, they still 3 putt and fly off the leading edge when chipping

I use the prototype ‘Tour Trajectory’ and it is soft as, great check on greens.

I Think ball performance / preferences has more to do with a players form than the actual ball The only ball I really didn’t like was a Bridgestone because it really jumped off the putter face . Golf Clearance Outlet is selling the Forte Apex6 golf ball for $64 / 2 Doz again. Seems to be available, then sell out and available again.
but from the little info available, it seems this is the same ball released in 2017.

a little birdie told me that GCO bought out all the Forte stock in 2020 - so i guess that means Forte the company is closed, and GCO has a shitload of old stock and is tricklefeeding it out to keep the price up?
