Poor start for Aussie teams with the Rebels getting hammered by the Blues last night.

Reds have come out with intent. 9 turnovers in the first half is a bit shit though. But signs of a better season than last year are there.

Finish strong Reds!

Reds were typically woeful in Perth. Never play well there.

Crusaders Highlanders game was a cracker, as was the Brumbies Sharks game.

They have the Chiefs to play on Friday Night, that will be a good test.

It will be interesting to see what changes SANZAR make to the comp after their meeting at the weekend.
Heard that one Australian team will be dropped from the comp.

Who goes from Aus, rebels or brumbies?

Should be Rebels but it will be interesting.

And Maza, how many weeks in a row can the 'saders get out of gaol? They should be 0-3 and are 3-0. Amazing.

Surely it's the Force. They're the worst of the Aus teams and Perth only exists on the Rugby map to make life easier for the Saffas. I've always been baffled why we don't make the kiwis travel to Perth and Saffas to the east coast for tests.

They've been a bit rusty in parts of the game, I think they will get better, but have the tougher NZ teams to play yet.

I think a team SA has to go as well, and the Japan team is questionable as well.

I think we need to keep Japan in, expansion of the game is important. Doubt SA would agree to a team being cut.

Maza all I can say is George Moala....... go the mighty Blues...

Japan needs to stay, rebels/brumbies and the kings need to go i think. SA rugby is on the decline due to the spread of talent....and dear I say it lack of quality coaches..

Back page of the Australian paper had cheetahs, Kings and Rebels on the block, not confirmed though.

I think a team SA has to go as well Reports are 3 teams being ditched. One being the Kings & at least one AU team. It's a financial decision, so I don't see the SunWolves being in any trouble just yet. Plenty of $ in Japan rugby. Kings gawn, Rebels gawn, unknown Saffa team...Gawn. That's my guess.

Crusaders have found a weakness and here they come again.

Can't play that penalty count, worst ref in world rugby.......

Don't cheat don't get penalised ;)

Don't think the blues cheated? There were some strange calls and a try that wasn't? You need to be better than that performance at this level..

PeteyD
17th March 2017, 08:25 PM
The try should have been referred. I didn't see the first half. I thought there was a funny lineout penalty but the rest seemed fine.

Too much forward power from the Crusaders, same as all the other weeks..

Forward power was good from the crusaders as usual.

Go the Rebels they are playing well tonight

That new Barrett lad is a bigger version of Beauden. Think he plays pretty much anywhere in the back line.

BayBum
24th March 2017, 04:47 PM
Yeah he's a good prospect. A good back up loosie @ 6'5" !

There is a 3rd Barrett that went away on tour with the AB's, plays lock. Should see him get some game time with the Canes sooner or later.

That's Scott Barrett, he's playing for the Crusaders, as a lock but played open-side tonight.

Highlanders in Dunedin is a big ask for any overseas team. In saying that, Rebels are just crap. Probably lucky they didn't play them in Invercargill lol.

PeteyD

They were awful. Reds are at least putting up a fight but you can see the Canes are going to break out.

This format has to change , how can a team with 11 points be ahead of 6 teams with more points?

R.I.P Force. Sad day for 'Super Rugby' and rugby in general. At least the Force have a fan base in a state that actually likes the game somewhat....

OzGolf group buy on Twiggy's 0% interest bankroll and we would all make a killing, with the right men in place !

i will be at Manly Oval tomorrow watching the Marlins vs Eastwood, if there was a Super 10/12/13/13/17 game on across the road I would draw the blinds.
