Has anyone built one, or had a professional install one at your home?

We are building a new house this year, off the plan, and will have a 4 x 3.8m "home theatre" room, and I have authority to do whatever I please with it. Opting for 2.75m high ceiling so I'd think this should clear most clubs bar the driver possibly.

Keen to see if you guys can show your set up at home, configuration, and the $$$ involved.

That's awesome hardboiled.
I would've preferred the garage too, but we can only a wide single due to our narrow low requirements.
That price is actually really good, as I was expecting to budget for $10k at least for the lot.
How's the accuracy of Skytrack, versus say GC2?

I have tested the ST outdoors at the range and it's very accurate.

Wait, what's TGC?

And is your version including the various golf courses, or is that an upgrade too?

TGC is the the golf club, it's basically the best simulator available through skytrak. There are a few other options but none as good as TGC.
The skytrak comes with a basic range and the simulators to play courses etc are an added cost. As hardboiled said, TGC is $1k extra for lifetime use and updates happening all the time

TGC is probably the best golf SIM at the moment.. lots of fun. There is over 100k courses you can play, and you can design your own as well.

Sounds bloody brilliant. Here I thought these things cost >$10k.
What's your ceiling height in the garage, and can you swing a driver easily?

Ceiling height is 2.8m.
There's plenty of room for me to swing driver but for some reason I find it really difficult to swing anything longer than a hybrid indoors.

I have something like this in mind. Hopefully a relatively simple indoor solution and want to double it as a home theatre with a lounge at the back end.

Nice setup hardboiled.

My setup is pretty much the same, using a Skytrak. But I have also installed mirrors for technique work and also live stream video cameras that are connected to computer screens - again for technique work. Also have a tripod mounted ipad running a few different golf video analysis apps - good for videoing the swing and then checking back on what you are really doing.

I haven't measured the height of the roof - but I can easily swing my driver without any problems.

Surely your roof must be 2.75m or more. I'm told that's the minimum to hit a driver. Sounds like a nice setup though

Looking closely at SkyTrak along with a garage setup for my 40th. Seems a little difficult to get in OZ with varying reports re warranty etc - Anyone happy to post where they got it from?

Hardboiled, can you do me a favour and measure the height of your roof? If you say it's 2.75m and you can swing a driver then I'm sold on an indoor sim option.

If it matters, I'm 5'10 on a good day.

Also be interested in what height everyone's ceiling is. I'm 6'1 so I guess a little less room. Maybe I can play a 40" driver...
