Here's where you can document your targets, aspirations & dreams. Anything goes, as long as it can be achieved at the VIC Champs!

To become only the second victorious union captain and to demolish Larry Long in the process.

1. Shoot my handicap once. Havent done it since Moonah Links.
2. Not play in the Sunday NAGA group. I was in it at Portsea, Heritage and Cape Schank I believe.

I would say beat Courty but thats a given.

Hate to tell you mate but you haven't chosen the best roommates to avoid number 2.

Haha I didn't think I had much chance anyway.

It may help my game though. Time will tell

1. No shanks. I hit my first one at the range last week, so February must be getting closer
2. Remember to switch the interior light off in my car
3. Enjoy the company
4. Stay awake on the drive home
5. Look good if I can't play well

Oh yeah, and hold aloft the Uncivil War trophy, but it doesn't really count as a goal if it's a foregone conclusion, does it?

Shop for dining chairs in Moorabbin.
Secure an early lead for the Union.
Don't buy ACT in the Calcutta.
Avoid the hat-trick of Sunday NAGA group appearances.

1. Simply enjoy the scenery, the company and whatever culinary delights there are to sample
2. No shanks, particularly on the 1st at Commonwealth. I'd rather make a statement to strike fear into Confederate hearts and reinforce Union resolve.
3. No emergency trips to GCO for a fresh supply of balls
4. 30 point average across all 5 days

Remain undefeated in the uncivil war matchplay.
Break 30 for at least 1 round.
Don't miss the flight home.

Hi Benno,

Looking for a "companion" next Champs?

WBennett

SundayHack has already paid for my 2018 trip.

By cleaned up, I dont mean the way you clean up the gravy after a plate of chips either.

1. Done
2. Double done (with extra ice cream on top)
3. Done*
4. Done

* I surpassed this by betting on Feelzy to have the best single day score.

FFS. Next year, I'm just going to put the Beyond Blue tin under the ATM and cut out the middle man.

Analysis:

1. Simply enjoy the scenery, the company and whatever culinary delights there are to sample
Done. Courses ranked from good to exceptional, company exceptional, food selections were excellent and I'm betting a comfortable weight gain of up to 3kg, even with all the walking.
2. No shanks, particularly on the 1st at Commonwealth. I'd rather make a statement to strike fear into Confederate hearts and reinforce Union resolve.
I didn't expect a 205m 5 iron off the 1st at Commonwealth, nor the resultant wipe. Shank count was 2...one to wipe the 15th yesterday after cold top, failure to reach the jade tees and a few cack hacks, and the 17th today (70m shot in and I feel as if I had the same for my 3rd)
3. No emergency trips to GCO for a fresh supply of balls
Balls were bought at GCO, but bought by the Irish ace at the auction. I hit a few "provisionals" today, but still come home with a few in the bag
4. 30 point average across all 5 days
Needed 36 today. Didn't get 36. I don't understand why my putting was as atrocious as it was, but once I get home and can crop/resize my photo from yesterday it shall replace Glenn Maxwell and his bum pats.

Also managed a 30 point average for the first time despite playing pretty awful golf for the first 4 days.

1. Beat Spud
Epic fail. After scoring well on Thursday I actually went into this match with some confidence. I had a solid few opening holes before remembering that I suck on the sandbelt and capitulated with nary a whimper.

2. Don't break any (more) clubs
Pass, only because the fairways at Settlers Run were a bit soft.

3. Beat Spud
See No. 1

4. Average 30pts or more across the entire trip (I can't recall without trawling back through old thread but I think I've only achieved this once )
What a custard head. I only needed 26 or better on the Monday to get there, and threw up all over myself with 23pts.

5. Beat Spud
This is getting old really quick.

6. Get to Pidapipo (best gelato in Melbourne)
Tick! Nom nom nom.

7. Beat Spud
Surely you get the picture by now.

8. Eat a plate of dumplings at Shanghai Village (Chinatown)
Didn't find the time to get into the city, but the Happy Phoenix meal went some way to make up for it.

9. Beat Spud
*sigh*

Haha sorry mate!

Should have PM'd me for inside information, I would've saved you some coin.

I'll do my best to be the dark horse next year so do message me and see how I'm traveling the week before! Haha

You have much to learn, Grasshopper.

The Vic Champs are all about having a good anecdote and unloading cash to Beyond Blue.

By betting on you and ACT, it's the surest way to achieve both goals.

p.s. Glad you enjoyed it, and come early for the Calcutta next year.
